We have just returned from a day trip to Wheelgate. Overall the park itself was fine, the rides were fine the food was fine, all a bit mediocre in our opinion. We much prefer Sundown adventureland, a smiliar price to get in but Sundown feels a bit better planned out with more distinct 'themed' areas. On the plus side Wheelgate does have lots of variety with something to suit most children and has a lot of flexibility if the weather is bad. Overall an enjoyable day and probably worth a visit if you're in the area but we probably won't return.

Only found out about this place a few months ago even though we live less then an hour away. Thiers so much to do that we were thier a good 4 hours and still had a few things left to see. Through the summer they have different animal experiences for the kids such as lamb feeding, all included in the price. We also got to meet Tree Fu Tom from cbeebies which was a bonus and from the look of the signs around the park they have characters out every few weeks so thier worth looking out for. Its defo a must visit again for us.

Went to Wheelgate for the day with our two children age 7 and 10. This is a super day out for families with younger children, very clean and tidy and lots of variety to suit all interests. It was a hot day so we spent almost all our time outside apart from a couple of goes on the climbing wall, which the kids loved, but there is plenty to do if the weather is bad as well.

They are busy building a huge water park at the moment which looks as if it will be finished any minute and this will make the park even better value.

We will definitely be back.

My wife and I took our 15 month old here today and we were very impressed, there's lots to do for children both indoors and out, take a look at the website as there's too much to list! Pretty reasonably priced too and there isn't loads of extra costs when You get inside which makes a pleasant change for this kind of place. All the staff, although very young were very friendly and helpful, and the whole park is pretty clean and well maintained throughout. Well worth a visit.

We visited today,29.06.13 myself, partner and children aged 2 and 3. We had a good day and enjoyed most of it however my 2 year old didn't get to go on much due to height restrictions which Is fair enough but like many other places maybe adults could go on rides aswell? The farm was lovely the children loved the pony rides and meeting the animals, we all fed the lambs and enjoyed the birds of prey show. The lady and gentleman doing the bird show where the friendliest staff we met during the day x the park is slightly shabby in some areas but we could see this was being developed and modernised so would like to visit again to see the improvements, lots of toilets and baby change which is very good also lots of bins and the park is clean and tidy. The new bounce cushion is fab. Look forward to the wet and wild area opening. Overall good day out and is only 25 minutes away from us x
