This was our first visit. Our 2 year old enjoyed the park a great deal. There were about a dozen rides he could enjoy. There is a farmyard where the children can feed goats, sheep, etc. Fun for a little one.

But, the rides are older and not much different from what you'd see at a neighborhood traveling carnival. The Santa visit area was only open for a short time and the Santa was a bit odd and controlling. The adults in our group were all bothered by his behavior. We would not go back to see him.

In general, there are so many great attractions in the Chicago area that I'd skip this one.

This is great for young children. There are rides and animals throughout with a petting zoo as well. Various shows put on throughout the day. You can bring in your own food in and enjoy in the picnic area. And finally, once you are in the park all the attractions are included.

We took our 2 and 3 year old grandsons, and their parents. A fun time was had by all. The rides are almost all for young children starting around 2. The loved it. My daughter also rode the Pirate Ship, so she was happy. There was a petting zoo, the kids always like that. Everyone has to pay to get in, but we thought is was well worth the money. A few rides they could go by themselves, the little bit bigger ones, a adult went with them. The area is quiet compact, so the walking was not excessive for little ones. I think the highlight for the boys was riding the fire truck wagon, they got to squirt out a fire. My daughter lives in the Chicago area, and she will be buying a season pass next year. Also the food is very good and reasonable, that was a pleasant extra.

We live 10 minutes away from Azoosment Park. This place is great for younger kids, with many interesting rides that are not too hard. Our daughter is 4 years old, and can take almost all rides including the rolldercoaster without a problem - although she feels a little dizzy after 5 rides on that due to the sharp turns - but she enjoyed it very much. Of major attractions, Carousel is great (fast), rollercoast is great, ferris wheel is bad, sea dragon is down when I visited, train ride is fun, and ballon ride induces vomit. Overall it's fun, and many of them can use some updating/maintenance, in my opinion.

Other than the rides, there are many pet animals in the park. It also generates some unpleasant smells throughout the park. There is an arcade in the park, but it was closed when we visited.

Ticket is about $18 per person, and is discounted to $11 for the last two hours in the park. We found the discounted price is perfect - two hours are about enough to wear out the kid. 3pm for weekdays and 5pm on Saturdays (4pm after labor day) We always chose discount hours. But otherwise, there is a $2 coupon on their website for normal-hour ticket.

We spent the day at Santa's Village with two grandkids, ages 6.5 and 7. We did not know it was the last weekday of the season when we picked our date and it was very busy. The kids did not notice this at all, however, and we all had a great time. This park is definitely geared to the younger set and this will probably be our only visit to the park as ours will be too old next year. I was impressed with the staff, the quality of the food we purchased (grilled as you order) and the general feeling of the park.
