Description: Hidden away in the Scottish Highlands, Corrour Station House is one of the most remote cafes in Scotland, as it is only accessible via train or on foot. After being welcomed by a roaring fire, we serve teas, coffees, homebaked goods, soups and filling Scottish-themed meals, including local venison. We cater for a large range of guests including hillwalkers, train enthusiasts and other visitors to this beautiful location. We are open 7 days a week, from 8.30am till 9pm, throughout the months of April to October. Please note - throughout the months of September and October, we are offering a limited service on Monday's and Tuesday's. On these days we will be serving teas, coffees, cakes and soup. Closing date for the 2016 season - 31st October.

Amazing place to stay -the monarch room was just lovely and the food fantastic . Ollie and Lizzie have created a very special restaurant with rooms -welcoming , unpretentious in a stunning location . You need to go and experience it -there is nothing quite like it and they deserve to make a success of this great venture

“Corrour offers quality in a relaxed environment”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2013

The no 1 restaurant in Corrour is not that big an achievement, but the no 1 out of 597 restaurants in Scottish Highlands on TripAdvisor drops a big hint that something special is happening at Corrour Station (Corrour rhymes with hour, by the way).

We did not hear about this on Tripadvisor. I have been on the case ever since it opened last year, and this visit was a reconnaissance for a planned "Final Munro" party set for 2015.

Lizzie and Ollie (still only in their early 20's), have created that very rare combination of quality and a relaxed environment. This is not one of those places that "tries to hard" or whose management are "up themselves".

They have created an offer which is entirely in keeping with its remote highland setting. Food very good. At breakfast (superb full Scottish breakfast venison sausage the lot) Ollie gave me poached and scrambled as he saw I was swithering. For dinner I asked about mountain hare, so he organised it as a special starter that night, setting me up nicely for the 12 hour venison stew that followed.

All you can hear is birdsong (snipe, dunlin and sandpiper breed in the lochan in front of the restaurant), and the very occasional train passing through. Skylarks high in the sky - Belinda says they sound like someone is trying to tune in a radio. And not a midge, even early June - weather was too good for them!

Many thanks to Lizzie / Ollie and your two staff, plus of course Archie the 11 month old Pointer. See you in 2015, and before.

“Amazing food, lovely people”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013

This is the third time we've dined here - this time staying over in the lovely new rooms with views to die for. As ever the food is all about clever use of first-rate local produce (venison scotch eggs a stroke of genius) served with flair and attention to detail. Our hosts, Lizzie and Ollie, really couldn't have made us feel more welcome. Highly recommended, couldn't fault anything.

“Fantastic chocolate brownies!”

We were on a long hike from Staoinaig to Ben Alder Cottage bothies. This was a welcome interlude in a hard day - a great chocolate brownie and cup of coffee, with very friendly staff.

“Visit for Lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

On a back-packing trip across Scotland, called in at Corrour Station House Restaurant and escaped the cold and wind to a different world of Welcome, Warmth and excellent food. Could not have been better. No need to walk there - the train stops at the restaurant door.
