“See what made the man called Reagan”
Reviewed February 26, 2013

This restored home where Ronald Reagan and his brother grew up gives a glimpse into the common, working-class lifestyle of the 1920s and 1930s. The home gives visitors a look at the early life that shaped one of the last American presidents to truly hail from humble beginnings.

“Would have been nice to know that it is shut all winter long!”
Reviewed December 27, 2012

We didn't plan ahead to visit, just saw the signs on the highway and decided to make a detour. The signs don't tell you that it is closed all winter long!

“Pleasant Visit”
Reviewed December 6, 2012

After driving past numerous times over the years on the way to visiting family, we finally were able to stop and visit this year. Although we arrived about 30 minutes before closing, the staff member and volunteer were very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our tour of the home and purchased several items from the gift shop. Like another review has said, the home did not contain any items specifically used by the Reagan family. President Reagan's parents moved many times over the years and most of those items have been lost. It was very nicely done to the period and gave you a good sense of what their life was like. I also enjoyed hearing the stories of President's Reagan's visit to this home for the opening of the museum. Overall, I would recommend this visit to history & political buffs as well as families with school-aged children.

“Nothing of Historic Value”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

Unfortunately this is just a house refurbish to period, there are no items of any historic value as for as the President is concerned. Very disappointing

“Neat Site”
Reviewed October 16, 2012

Just visited the childhood home of President Ronald Reagan. Presentation includes a short video and a guided tour of his restored home. It is interesting to hear of President Reagan's humble origins. Provides good insight into how this man's values were shaped. Wish we could recapture the family togetherness that the Reagans shared.
