First of all, you have to like Lithuanian food. It is not fast food or some kind of light and fluffy food that would be good for someone counting calories. It's "stick to the ribs" food and it is delicious. If you do not like that kind of food then probably this is not the place for you. But, if you like ethnic food that is prepared in a way that is authentic and delicious, this is definitely worth a stop. However, apart from being on the heavy side, it is in no way offensive to your taste buds. The menu is quite diverse and really covers a multitude of Lithuanian foods. You can even get salads and burgers if you really get into a quandary about what to order. The menu is bilingual and the waiters/waitresses speak fluent English and can answer any questions that you may have.
I saw some reviewer saying it is "dark." Well, there are no theater spotlights focused on you but it is not as dark as say "Geja's Cafe" or the "Carnival" restaurant. These kind of people will complain if the silverware service is placed 1/2 inch away from their imagined good position.
All in all, this restaurant is fine. There are no REAL problems, perhaps a few imagined ones. Sure, if you came in at a time when there were a lot of people, you may have to wait a little longer. We went with two grandchildren and a visitor from Great Britain at about 1 PM and had not one problem with anything. Well, maybe one! The portions were large and we all took containers to finish the food the next day. Everything went very well. BTW, our nationality is
Lithuanian and we are quite used to home made ethnic authentic foods so we are not jus talking
without experience. Come here and you will enjoy the food !
