First, we're regulars. Chef Victor does a wonderful job in the kitchen. We're never disappointed with the food. However, during a recent visit, on a late Saturday afternoon, in a relatively empty dining room, we were quite disappointed with the service. We had someone deliver water and never saw him again. We ordered mussels as the appetizer, which was about 40 very delicious mussels. No one came to clean it up. The food order was slow to come. The plates and dishes kept piling up. The poor waitress was the only one actually working. There were two hostesses standing at the hostess stand, twirling their hair and giggling and the table is getting worse. Mind you, we were dining with a 2 year old and a three year old. There was a lot of stuff! The food was excellent. The farm to table idea is so appealing. The no landfill concept is something every restaurant should adopt. But yet we sat with every single dish and cup that was brought to us to the point there wasn't one square inch of table left. Nevertheless, go for the food, but to Duke's, please improve on your staffing/training needs. We'll be back.
