Because of a very positive review from Chicago’s Best I took 3 out of town guests to Louisa’s for dinner on a Tuesday evening. We were all very disappointed with the salad, some iceberg lettuce with a couple of thinly sliced red onions and a halved cherry tomato; I have had better side salads from McDonalds. No great response from my friends who thought that the food was OK (they were being polite) but my lasagna was weak. I may have felt better about it if it wasn’t $17+.As a group we had 2 lasagnas’, a chicken parm and the fourth entrée that I do not recall, 3 glasses of wine and a bottle of Peroni beer and the bill was $99+, just a few cents short of a hundred dollars, way way to much for what we received. I guess that Louisa’s figures that since that they received a good review from CB that is all they have to do to impress customers. I won’t be going back to see if they are “one of the 25 best pizzas in Chicago” as ranked in Chicago magazine.
