Unless you know the Lake Almanor peninsula area this place is darn near impossible to find. It is imperative that you call them to get instructions.
The building is more like a converted house, but that feel matches the food and service perfectly. There is some outdoor seating, but it is really a grassy backyard with some tables in it.
Some of the items are your standard Italian fare, but with homemade sauces, while others are like nothing you would get outside of an Italian grandma's kitchen. The bean soup had a mix of herbs that were perfect, yet not something Olive Garden would even comprehend. Their pink Cadillac sauce was so good we just sat there eating the sauce long after the pasta was gone. The seafood ravioli perfectly matched the sauce in a perfectly complimentary way.
While we were eating a tourist came in asking where the other Italian restaurant is located. The server just gave them directions. No snide comment to the tourist or after the tourist left. Real class.
