Stayed here April 4 - my wife was taking a few classes at the scrapbooking convention on the next street over as well as buying stuff from the many vendors.
Check-in was friendly and went quickly even though there was a charter bus for a track team checking in at the same time. Hotel was completely full.
Our room was extremely nice and clean - bed was comfortable. Only issue was the cable/Internet connection went down for about 3 hours in the evening (we were told it was down in the entire city not just in the hotel). When it was available, internet was very fast - was able to watch streaming video with very fiew hiccups.
Hotel breakfast was average - warmed over scrambled eggs and sausage - coffee was one of those "each cup brewed individually" machines that you hold the appropriate button (coffee, decaf, hot water) in until your cup was full. It was still full when I threw it in the trash - it was totally undrinkable.
Personally, I don't find breakfasts included with hotel rooms (not just this one) to be very good - I'd rather have $5 off my room rate. Although I can definitely understand the attraction of the free breakfast if you had a family with you.
Overall, it was in a great location (I was able to stay at the hotel while my wife was at the scrapbooking convention a couple blocks awy) - we enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay there in the future.

Check in was a breeze. The lobby was spacious and clean. It opened up into a huge atrium. All of the non-smoking rooms are located on the first floor and the smoking rooms are located on the second and third floors. The hotel does allow pets to stay.
We had a king suite room that included a separate living room, a huge bathroom, and a nice size bedroom. The living room had a desk with chair, small flat screen tv (about 36 inches), coffee table, a dining table with 2 chairs, 2-person love seat that had an hide away bed, and a refrigerator with a microwave. The bedroom had, besides the bed, same size flat screen tv, a lounge chair with foot stool, a couple of night stands, and a dresser. In the bathroom, there is a 2 sink vanity, shower with a one person Jacuzzi tub, and a toilet. The closet was located in the living room. The room itself was very well kept. There were a few dings in the dry wall, but the carpet looked new and the chairs, tables, etc. were in good shape. The same goes for the bedroom. The bed was very comfortable and there were plenty of pillows. The bathroom was clean, but the grout lines were a little dirty. The tub shows some wear and tear from other guests breaking the tile surrounds to some water damage. The only one complaint about the bathroom would be that the toilet seems to be too close to the side wall.
Breakfast was hot, and there was enough for everyone. Some of the items included scramble eggs, sausages, cereal, yogurt, fruit, coffee/juice/milk, waffles, bread/English muffins/bagels, just to name a few. It is served in the atrium of the hotel, with plenty of tables/chairs for everyone.
The pool area consisted of a nice size pool, with handicap access and a hot tub. The hot tub was not working and according the maintenance person I spoke to, he said that they were probably going to remove it, sometime down the road. Illinois state law say that it too had to be handicap accessibility, and they were deciding if they wanted to do this. Also, guests were allowing their infants and kids under the age of 10 to be in there, which is not a good idea.
Besides being able to eat breakfast in the atrium, there was also a game area that consisted of 4 video games, a pool table, a foosball table, and a putting game. There was also a small kid’s play area that had some plastic climbing apparatus with slide.
The hotel also had a business center, which could be access using your room key card, and a fitness center, with 4 pieces of exercise equipment.
Check out was just as smooth. You will receive a slip under your door, the day of your departure.
There are many restaurants located a short distance from the hotel, many you can walk too. As for restaurant recommendations, I would try Zapata’s Mexican Restaurant, which is very close to the hotel. The meals we had there were very good along with the margaritas. As for places to stay away from, I would not order pizza from Imo’s Pizza. The crust was good, but they use a “fake” cheese, something called Provel.

Chose this Comfort Inn randomly and were very pleased. The beds were very comfortable, the room was clean and they gave us enough towels without asking. The breakfast had a lot of choices. We had bad weather in the early morning and the front desk clerk called all the rooms and had people come down to the atrium to take shelter.I I would definitely stay here again !

We are currently staying in another Comfort Inn and it is cheaper and much cleaner. The main issue is the smell that the place left on our clothes. Breakfast was okay, I guess I shouldn't complain..(it is complimentary). Just needs a good cleaning and it would be fine.
