Everything was amazing. From the hospitatility (we turned up a few hours early and were still offered freshly baked cake and tea) through all the fresh, local food, to the rooms and garden. Great value too at 55 Euros for the room and all food (arrival, dinner and breakfast) and drink (incl cider aperatif, wine and local digestifs). If your route doesn't include stopping here then change your route and you'll be happy you did!

10 cyclists and 1 support driver heading to Paris from London on day 2 of the trip booked to stay at Les Chambres du Confiturier de Malethi. I had emailed Marie with our expected arrival time which was 21:30hr, but we did not arrive until after 22:00hr but still we were greeted with huge smiles and welcoming open arms. we were swiftly shown our rooms which were perfect, washed showered and sat down to the most wonderful 6 course meal you would expect to find in a 5 star hotel. All fresh local produce. Marie and Terry were still serving us food at midnight. What perfect hosts these two are. They fully understood that we had cycled 60 miles that day and needed re-fueling. After a good nights sleep we were again greeted with smiles and presented with even more food at breakfast. The whole team were sad to be leaving this wonderful place, but thanks to Marie and Terry our tanks were full for the 55 mile ride into Paris. If your planning a trip to France plan it around Les Chambres du Confiturier de Malethi. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. A truly wonderful place run by two dedicated friendly helpful hosts. Thank you so much Marie and Terry..

What more can I say in addition to the previous comments?!
We too were on a cycle ride from Dieppe to Paris. After a long day’s cycle, arriving at the Chambre des Confiturier was sheer pleasure. Our hosts greeted us, locked our bikes in their garage, and then let us relax with tea and home-made cakes. Their house was beautiful, gardens lovely, bedrooms extremely comfortable, and the food delicious. Marie and Thierry couldn’t have been more kind in welcoming us into their home and ensuring we had everything we needed during our stay.

11 cyclists stayed here on the second leg of our London to Paris cycling trip. We didn't arrive until after 10.00p.m., but Marie still cooked a fantastic evening meal full of local produce and fresh veg from the garden. All jams etc were all home made, very comfortable accommodation and in the morning was presented with a fantastic breakfast, again with home made jams, bread, cheeses choices to much to mention. Cannot praise Marie & Thierry enough, if you are in this part of France don't hesitate to book.

I cannot recommend Marie highly enough or find enough words in any language to describe the truly unique experience she and her husband create during your stay with them! I advise you not only to stay here but to plan your trip around staying here!! WE were doing the Donald Hirsch Dieppe to Paris ( a route I also highly recommend), and stopped here as a midway stop on the way to Paris, and on the way back, and it was the highlight of the trip (London to Paris and back over 6 days). The hosts, ambiance, food, drink and environment cannot be faulted, nor could anyone else anywhere else create it in the same way! DO NOT miss the very minimal extra for the homemade evening meal and breakfast with a table positively creaking under all the homemade food cakes and jams was just amazing! my only concern is that too many people discover this real gem and i can never manage to get a booking to revisit!

It is hard to express the immediate "at home" feel you are met with from the moment to arrive.
6 of us were at the end of our second leg of cycling London to Paris, it was past 9pm and Thierry had driven out to welcome and guide us in. After ensuring our bikes were secured, we were welcomed in.
The rooms are comfortable, spacious and well equipped. After we were all showered (great coloured pegs idea) we were welcomed into their home with homemade breads, ciders and apple juices.
The evening meal, despite the hour was superb, with Marie fussing over us like a "mother hen", nothing was too much trouble, her concern when it appeared I was not eating enough was touching.
The atmosphere around the table can only be described as homely.
After a great nights sleep, waking to see the sun rise over the superb gardens and views, we were not prepared for the breakfast that greeted us! Homemade jams, croissants, breads, cakes pain au chocolate's, you name it, we were offered it.

I can honestly say that after what was a very difficult couple of days this was very much in order and set us up for our last leg to Paris.

As others have said, I always wish to offer praise and recommendations where due, but also want to keep this secret in equal measure to ensure that if passing I can stay there again.

As someone who travels frequently around the world always staying in 5 star hotels I can safely say that this small, beautiful b&b competes with some of the best places I have ever stayed.  Both Marie and Thierry went out of their way to ensure that we were superbly looked after and the warmness of the reception was matched by the quality of the food and drink. From the local cider to the superb 5 course meal (included in the price) and amazing breakfast, with a choice off almost any flavour jam you could think of made on the premises, the experience is one I will not forget and would hope to repeat.
