“Pizza puff experience”
Reviewed August 12, 2013 via mobile

The pizza puff was very filling, plenty of flavor, very cheesy, and packed full of flavor. Unique food, really big calzone, 2 people can share it and be full. Atmosphere rough but if you are use to big cities you'll be fine. Took 30 mins but that's how long the pizza puff is suppose to cook. Very good price.

“Great pizza and amazing panzarotti, not so much the location”
Reviewed March 5, 2013

I have been going to Albanos for about 20 something years. They have always had a great value and great 8 item pizza. Good amount of toppings and good taste. And a ginormous panzarotti Just have it delivered if it is after dark!!

“Uninviting and unimpressive”
Reviewed February 19, 2013

I was told I had to come here, and after having been there for lunch, I can't imagine why. The pizza wasn't anything special, aside from the size of the slices. The restaurant itself was set up in such a cluttered way, and a large number of tables are pushed together the point where they can't be used, and it seems that it is done to discourage patrons from staying for their food, but that they'll be comfortable enough to wait for their carry out orders.

“Had to try this!”
Reviewed October 26, 2012

After speaking with a family member about my trip to come to Chicago, she mentioned a list of food that she was gonna cook and then she mentioned Italian Beef and they way she described it was making my chops salivate. so i decided to make sure to visit this place before i headed back to orlando. the place is not where you think it would be but it seemed to be okay. its in a business district so i was okay. i ordered the italian beef dipped with extra peppers and mozarella cheese. And a large order of fries. i dont know why i ordered fries cuz i sure didnt eat them. The wait was extremely long but the food was on point and worth it. oh my gosh. it came in this 12 inch pan and looked so good. i thought i was on an episode od man vs. Food cuz i tried eating the whole thing and i lost. i decided to eat in because i just thought i wouldnt be able to handle all of the juices dripping down my arm . lot of traffic especially on this friday. ambiance wasnt all that but who cares. try it yu just might like it.

“You Better Be Hungry”
Reviewed September 17, 2012

If you are looking for ambiance, this is probably not the spot for you. However, if you are hungry and you like Italian food, Albano's is worth a stop. Albano's Pizzeria looks like an abandoned building, so don't be fooled by the exterior. Walk around to the door off the parking lot and you'll be greeted by a friendly staff who will help you figure out what your best option might be: Italian beef sandwich, pizza, pizza puffs, salads....Most people will tell you that the pizza puff is a must, and it practically defies description, however, the Italian beef sandwich is fabulous, one of the best we've had, and we, we being everyone in my family, have consumed our fair share of italian beef sandwiches.
Now this pizza puff could easily feed a family of four, so be cautious when ordering. Our family, big eaters around the table, had two of us splitting an italian beef, then ordered two pizza puffs and a second italian beef for four additional people. It is a week later, and I think some folks are still eating on the left overs.
The other thing about Albano's is how friendly everyone is, we had two of the cooks chatting us up while they had their lunch. The gal who took our order could not have been more patient as we tried to figure out what a pizza puff was much less what we ingredients we wanted in two of them. The pizza puffs take over 15 minutes to cook, so either order ahead or plan to wait- it is worth it.
