This may not be the finest sandwich I have ever eaten, but it's certainly in the top end of the league table. Visited as a result of seeing it on Man v Food, but didn't feel up to the challenge! The sandwiches themselves are large and tasty, and the french fries and coleslaw bulk them up further. Fries were a little salty but otherwise no complaints. Prices are reasonable, and there looked to be a reasonable range of beers too. The place is small, but if it's not a game day you should manage to find a table.

Ate here before the ball game while visiting Chicago (8th Sept 2013). Great service by friendly staff. The sandwich was big, but importantly it was still so tasty from the corned beef to the fries to the slaw. We also had a nice pint of ale to wash it down. Highly recommended and still dreaming of it nearly a month on.

We randomly selected Lucky's for dinner one evening. What an excellent find. Lisa, the server, was very knowledgeable about both the food and the beer, and she was so much fun, we ended up having a great time. The sandwiches were fantastic. So good in fact, that we went back the next day for lunch. That's when we met Joe and Ryan. They were both wonderful, so friendly. Excellent value, food, and people!

We ate here as part of our Route 66 Man Vs Food tour this Summer.

The sandwiches were very tasty with extremely strong flavours. The coleslaw was possibly a little too overpowering and was very peppery. They were huge portions and none of us managed to eat it all (how do people eat 3?!) The sandwiches were great value for money!

All in all, the sandwiches were nice but the staff could have been a little friendlier. We tried to move some seats to sit down but were told off which was a shame. Politeness goes a long way.

My family and I dined at Lucky’s Sandwich Co. on Sunday 8/11. It’s a small café with great ambiance. Two tables were quickly put together to hold our party of five. Lucky’s is famous for there sandwiches topped with Vinaigrette coleslaw and fries. Three of us ordered the Fredo (ham, salami, capicola & Swiss), one ordered the Roast Beef and one ordered the Two-Bagger (Corned Beef & Pastrami). The Roast Beef sandwich was very light on the Roast Beef and would not be ordered again. The Fredo sandwiches were great with a nice combination of ham, salami, capicola and Swiss. The Two-Bagger had generous portions of Corned Beef & Pastrami.

Of the five of us only two of us liked the vinaigrette coleslaw. The other three scrapped the slaw off of their sandwiches. One member of our group asked for her fries on the side which the server gladly accommodated and it turned out to be a much larger portion then the few fries that were placed on the rest of our sandwiches. Bottom line if you don’t like vinaigrette coleslaw, ask for it on the side. If you like fries ask for them on the side since you only get a few on the sandwich. Nice touch, refills were given on Lemonades without having to ask. Go hungry as the portions are large or do as I did and only eat half of your sandwich and save the other half for lunch the next day!
