For a great quick genuine Italian meal, you can't beat Frankie's. Family owned and run the attention to quality and service is terrific.

The food here was excellent. I had the bacon burger and it was outstanding. Good brick oven pizza. Much quicker than Chicago deep dish. Highly recommended.

Their fresh bread w/olive oil is mouth watering!
Salads were fantastic (I'm still craving the one I ordered with grilled veggies and hot peppers!), pizza was probably the best I've ever had. Service - was superb!

First, let me say that when I was about to begin my review I was informed that Tripadvisor had no knowledge about Frankie's Scaloppine. But when I googled Frankie's Scaloppine/Tripadvisor reviews, I was informed there were 55 of them. So here is the 56th.

It is one of the latest creations in restaurant guru Rich Melman's Lettuce Entertain You empire--Frankie's Scaloppine, in its fifth year, located on the fifth floor of the 900 North building (aka Bloomingdale's mall) on Chicago's Magnificent Mile. Frankly, we wouldn't have discovered it if it hadn't been for an advertising mailing. We love Melman's new pizzeria on Rush Street and we were anxious to try out Frankie's. Wise decision. Lots of Italian. Classic pizza, veal, egg plant, lasagna, Caesar salad, spaghetti of all kinds and shapes, salmon, chicken. I loved the tomato bisque soup, halibut special and tiramisu. My wife enjoyed the veal limone with mushrooms and garlic spinach. A very busy place with attentive, friendly and knowledgeable service. Good place to stop for lunch while shopping in Bloomingdale's and nearby Water Tower Place.
