We've stayed in a lot of different hotels in Chicago, and this hotel is always a solid choice.
The good: a nice sized suite that was very comfortable for a family of four. Location is just a block off Michigan - close to hopping, restaurants, the beach. Price isn't bad for a suite in downtown Chicago.
The not so good: parking is outrageously priced, especially since we didn't use our car the whole time we were there. Lack of dining options at the hotel. There is one restaurant, and it was not terribly impressive. We had a bit of issue at the very end of our visit with left us with a pretty poor impression of the staff, with the exception of the director of security.

In general, it's a a pretty good choice for an affordable family stay in Chicago.

Room Tip: It's a tall building surrounded by tall buildings - the views re all about the same.

We had to take a very early flight which put us in Chicago at around 9:30am. My husband had called the hotel the night before to ask if we could check in early and they said it was fine. When we arrived we had a room waiting for us and were able to nap a bit before we started sightseeing. From the moment we walked into the hotel we were greeted by the friendly staff. Our room was clean, and well laid out. I loved the doors on the bedroom, made for very restful nights sleep. This room was bigger than hotel rooms in NYC. Our king sized bed was very comfortable. My son slept on the sofa bed in the living room. That wasn’t as comfortable and my only complaint. We stayed 5 nights so they could improve on the sofa beds a bit. The location was fabulous and within walking distance to sites, Oak st. beach, restaurants and the red line. We never felt unsafe while walking around the neighborhood. The pool area was clean and well maintained as well as the rest of the hotel. Housekeeping did a great job of cleaning our room daily. I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: we stayed on the 19th floor in room 1910 and had a pretty good view of the lake and its a non smoking floor

I have been coming to Chicago for 15 years, but always stay in the loop. This time, my wife and I stayed at the Hilton Suites and were very pleased. The rooms are all suites and are very spacious for a major metropolitan hotel without breaking the bank. The room was clean, updated, and comfortable. The 30th floor has a pool (not at all crowded during our stay), hot tub, sauna, and work out room. The AAA rate was $161 a night, which I found very reasonable. The staff was nice and the hotel was right at Water Tower Place and the Hancock building, so very well-placed for you to walk to Navy Pier or the Mag Mile. One thing I would note is that the hotel is not close to the Blue Line, so if you are coming from O'Hare on the El, you should take it to Clark/Lake and take a taxi to the Hilton. It also can be a bit tricky to find at first as the address is Delaware Place but the door to the hotel is not actually on Delaware.

Each staff member we encountered, without exception, was friendly and professional. From the first greeting at the outdoor entrance, to the cheerful desk staff with good senses of humor, and the proficient valet, bellhop, and housekeeping personnel, we felt welcomed and cared for during our four night stay. Immaculate room, excellent layout, all the conveniences we wanted (microwave, refrigerator, iron, hair dryer, in-room safe) and comfortable beds. Parking service was excellent and courteous. (Outstanding parking staff even made that part pleasant.) This is a beautifully run hotel in an ideal location.

The Hilton suites has the best customer service I have had at a hotel, The concierge was always quick to help us with directions and getting us transportation, and the front desk was wonderful with accommodating our group of 15 by getting our rooms moved to the same floor. They are very friendly and I would without a doubt recommend them to anyone who is travelling to Chicago. The location of the hotel is also great, and walking distance to so many great shopping and dining spots. They get a 10 out of 10 in my books.

Room Tip: All of the suites were the same and all great quality bedding and very clean.
