It's all about people. The moment I landed after a 9 hr drive Murphy the concierge made me feel at home instantly. He went out of the way to help me find better parking. Not to forget constantin who certainly impressed all of us with his positive n cheerful attitude . Keep it up.

I met a friend at this hotel for five days to explore Chicago. The location was excellent, we were able to walk everywhere or take a quick ride on the L train. We both described the bed as sleeping on a cloud!!!! As a matter of fact I'm going pillow shopping today for my bed at home!!!! Very friendly staff, room was always clean. We loved it!!!!
It is a bit far from the airport, but don't be afraid to take the blue line on the L train. It was safe and easy to use. $5 there and $3 back, as opposed to $100 to take a taxi both ways.

Hello Lolilynn,
We love your creative idea. Instead of traveling to a friend’s hometown or visa versa, opt to meet somewhere in between. We are thrilled to have been part of the adventure! We’re happy you enjoyed the convenience of our great location and the helpfulness of our dedicated staff. After a long, exciting day exploring our beautiful city, a clean room and plush, comfortable bed must sound pretty good! We’re happy we could provide both. Thank you for leaving a few helpful transportation tips for future guests. We hope you return to Hotel Chicago for another wonderful stay soon! There are so many more amazing things to do and see here!

Just stayed at the Hotel Chicago for 3 nights. Had a great stay. Excellent service--most notably from the profoundly knowledgeable concierge. Our vacation was fantastic based on her spot on recommendations. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We had a bit of a snafu with our reservation which was made via Priceline. However, the situation was resolved with a positive outcome with the help of Murphy and the staff and we were incredibly appreciative. We felt we had red carpet treatment from everyone and we look forward to return visits. Amazing location, comfortable rooms, very nice restaurant and lounge. Thanks Murphy and Andy for a memorable stay!

Staff was accommodating and courteous. The room was a fair size and very clean, we were four women in for four nights during the summer. Parking is very pricey compared to other locations, valet parking is $65 a night with in and out privileges or you can choose the cheaper option of $40 a night with no in and out privileges off site of the hotel. The staff although friendly are not very forthcoming with information or know any of the sites. There is a continental breakfast in the morning Mon- Fri and a evening lounge free of charge. We stumbled across this concierge room accidentally. Every time we asked the staff about an attraction they had never been. The hotel should take the time to offer freebies to their staff so that they are informed and helpful to their guests. I inquired if our room had just been renovated as their was a fan in the bathroom and no way to turn it on. No plug in the bathroom and the sprinkler system was installed but not finished. There was a very strangely placed wainscotting trim at the top of the wall that was falling off and we have no idea what was going on with the computer part of the mini bar. As four friends we didn't spend much time in the room so it was not a problem until we all need to shower. All in all I would go back and stay at this hotel. The staff was lovely.

Room Tip: The house of blues is on one side of the hotel. We were on the 14th floor facing it and we were ok...

I was at this hotel for an iPad conference. We stayed here because the conference was here. We requested 4 rooms that were close, adjoining if available. We got to the hotel early and stored our bags. Our rooms weren't ready by 3:00, so they put us in rooms on the same floor, but not near each other, a little disappointing. The staff, however, was amazing! Constantine, Murphy, and Emanuel were wonderful! The biggest problem was the wifi. It was weak in our rooms; for one of the rooms you had to step into the hall to get it. The conference was horrible without the wifi. The conference was also using the same wifi as the hotel guests, so everyone was kicked off the internet constantly. The first morning, we couldn't connect at all. Since everything I needed to do required wifi, I had to use my phone data plan. This was not good at all! Also, the bathroom didn't have a fan so everything fogged up and got very wet. The rooms were large and comfortable. The hotel was an eclectic design and not the easiest to navigate. The elevators needed a key card to work, which didn't always work anyway! The hotel was very clean. The location was super!

The staff I came accross were all excellent, but the room itself is pretty bad. Stained drapes, broken window handles, peeling wallpaper, mold, missing tile to carpet trnsiotion strip, burned iron etc.

It feels like they do not care much about proper cleaning. I am here for 3 nights already and they have not change the bed sheets yet... The shower curtain has some other guests nasal mucus on it, it is missing some hooks, just bad...

The lighting in the room is lacking as well.

On the positive side, the bed is excellent and the location is awesome.

Am I going to return? I will try my best not to, but if there no other "Marriott" rooms around that area available, I might be forced to.
