The reviews of this place are very mixed, so we weren't sure what kind of experience we would get, but this place deserves more than it's two stars. The building is old, but they don't hide that, and it adds to the charm, as the Inn rides beautifully the line between kitsch and stateliness. The room was clean and bigger than expected. Every single staff person we had even the slightest bit of interaction with was nice and professional. Parking was easily available, although I wish it was slightly less expensive. (We paid to have easy access in and out of the spaces at the hotel). Diversey Pkwy has lots of food and shopping options, so it's a great location, too. We'd be happy to stay there again when we return to visit family in Chicago.

Well, it's not the Ritz! We were attending a Cubs game and the Inn at Lincoln Park is 'relatively' close to Wrigley...ONLY reason to stay there. The rooms are ancient...in window air-conditioners which do not cool the room enough. Bathrooms big enough for only one person and a small person to be sure. The beds were hard and the linens were made in the 50's I think. As for the morning 'free coffee and doughnuts'....same type of doughnuts every morning..if not THE same doughnuts every morning. Over all...the only saving grace is the location en route to walking to Wrigley....a long, long walk..but doable.

Room Tip: noise from outside quite loud..so not sure if any rooms are really sans noise!!!

Small rooms but staff was very friendly. Loved that they have onsite parking for a fee. Just over a mile from Wrigley. Seemed like a very safe area of town. Several shops, restaurants and bars close by. What isn’t in walking distance can be reached easily via Uber.

The Inn at Lincoln Park was a very nice place for a quick 4 day vacation for us. Though the facility was a little worn, it was clean and the beds were comfortable and the room clean. The front desk staff were very friendly and most helpful getting us around Chicago on public transportation. The Inn itself is veru convenient to Wrigley Field several parks, to Second City Improv Club. There were good restaurants and shopping nearby. Moderate price and great location.

I'd love to give this place a 3/5 but it's impossible to rank it as average. The bathroom fails it. The worst shower pressure of anywhere I have ever been. You think 'big deal, the price is right' until you spend 30 minutes under a slow lukewarm drip trying to rinse your hair three days in a row. The bathtub bath-fitter liner was cracked and warped. Tub taps produced rusty water. The toilet could barely handle pee and anything more than a square of paper required numerous flushes.

The advertised "breakfast included" consists of donuts. That's it. At least they were borderline decent donuts however that hardly counts as 'breakfast' and should not be sold as such.

The bed was ok, the room was clean, the staff was SUPERB.

The owners are going to have to invest some serious bucks real soon before the whole place turns to total crap.
