“Enjoyed our stay”
Reviewed November 9, 2012

Recently stayed at the hotel and found it to be clean and comfortable. The rooms are small, but who spends much time in the room anyway. The little coffee shop in the lobby was great - friendly staff. Nice location - we were able to visit the farmers market across the street which was a total treat. The rooftop bar/lounge was very fun, but limited in terms of drinks (no Port and the server didn't even know what Port was?)

The big seller is that we were traveling with my mother and her little dog - this hotel really likes the dogs - treats and water bowl in the lobby. It is difficult to find a hotel/motel that even allows pets so this was a pleasant surprise.

Overall we enjoyed our stay and plan to stay again in late February.

I have no idea what this hotel is like but do not believe their cancelation policy. I made a reservation online on July 4 for a room October 6. I canceled the reservation via email on August 30. I received an email reply confirming my reservation had been canceled. I was still charged for the room on October 6th. When I realized I had been charged I did I contacted the hotel and was told that because I did not save the cancelation confirmation email, they would not reverse the charge for the reservation made thru their website. I travel ALOT and this has never happeded before. I recommend avoid this hotel like the plague unless you are 150% certain you will be staying here because their 24 hour cancelation policy is obviously a joke!

The Lady at the front desk was great. The hotel was cool but it needs updated in the rooms. especially the bathroom. It could use some new bed linens also. It has a great location and we would stay here again.

This is not a chain hotel and it really has a lot of charm. Great location in Lincoln Park with good parking options. Reasonable pricing for Chicago. Bed was comfortable and the continental breakfast in the am is a plus. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. It's charm is in it's old fashioned decor - typical for the area is radiator heat and window a/c's. We had great weather and could open windows for fresh air. You must use your room key for access to hallway to rooms so that's a great safety factor. Our room was very clean. We would definitely return. We came to town for a family function and knew we would not be in the room much so why pay pricey rates downtown?

Not your cookie-cutter chain hotel - this one actually has quite a bit of old charm and character! Exposed wood trim, doorways and moldings, Only 3 stories high. Great location in Lincoln Park very close to public transportation and plenty of restaurants and shops. Staff is very accommodating, if you don't see it in your room, ask for it. They brought me a coffee maker, hair dryer and an extra lamp. My room was actually spacious with two extra alcoves and the bathroom had a full window that opened. This is probably not a hotel for everyone but it worked well for me.

Room Tip: An old hotel with character so every room is different.

In two words: stay away. This property is in need of a MAJOR update and cleaning. It's dirty, noisy and not worth the outrageous rates they charge. The only good thing one can say about this hotel is its proximity to Wrigley Field.

A hotel experience is a summation of many small details, most of which the Inn at Lincoln Park gets deeply wrong. Here, in no particular order, are problems experienced during a recent stay: 1) surly staff lacking the authority and willingness to fix problems/address concerns, 2) only 1 person at the front desk so that there was always a wait, 3) dirty, outdated, smelly carpets, 4) claustrophobic, cheap-looking elevator, 5) skeevy, scary looking floral bedding with cheap pillows, 6) major plumbing problems – initially switched rooms due to a dripping shower, subsequent room had another leaking shower and a running toilet 7) TV not working 8) weak/unreliable internet connection, 9) broken ice maker, and 10) old, cracked bathroom tile. Was so spooked by this hotel that I checked out after the first night, refusing to spend my second night there. On the positive side is a great location. Love the area. Do not love the hotel. Don’t.
