I booked this hotel because I had a meeting there - and was very pleasantly surprised. I hate the typical airport chain hotel, but this Marriott was recently remodeled and VERY clean. The price for my room was a little high (around $200) but I wanted the convenience of staying where we were meeting.

The shuttle driver was fun on the way to the hotel and it was only the beginning of a great stay. My room, although somewhat small was recently re-done and clean, especially the bathroom. I also liked the nifty plug ins (electrical and more - see picture).

I was alone the first night so I ate dinner at the bar (which served the restaurant food also). I had local whitefish that was excellent. Beware of the dining room and bar prices - the quality was high but so were the prices.

I would definitely stay at this hotel again and recommend it for business travel

Incredible staff, facilities, and amenities. I HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone and everyone. NO complaints AT ALL. I've stayed in a lot of places and the service/friendliness here was absolutely perfect. Room service and food in restaurant is pricey but you definitely get what you pay for.

I stayed for one night at the property. Overall location was fine, however in comparison to the other Marriott properties in the immediate vicinity I won’t be back. The property looks smaller than the Renaissance Suites across the expressway but looks can be deceiving. This is a conference center and when filled to capacity as I think it was, everything is crowded –the $26 a night parking lot, the fitness center, the concierge lounge, the bar downstairs –all took a while. The tower was where my room was, elevators were a bit slow and although the renovation seems extensive and actually looks nice, the rooms are small and awkward. The room has a wide entry. The bathroom door had to be less than 24” as my shoulders touched on both sides if I tried to walk through. Once inside the bathroom you had to close the door to use the shower. Also the tub for the shower appeared original to the property, and the floor of it looked dingy –they should’ve just put in a fresh shower stall. The room included a “club chair” and a floor lamp, which was shoe -horned into the room. They were clumsy to be around and I often found the back of the chair smooshing the floor lamp into the curtains as I tried to maneuver around the bed. The closet space was also small. It was ok for overnight but considering the options around O’Hare I would think twice before coming back here.

Room Tip: Book at the property across the expressway the Renaissance Chicago O'Hare Suites you could walk...

Thank you for sharing your thoughts! Please beware that the walk "across" to the Renaissance entails walking outside. With the elements in Chicago being what they are please be prepared to brave the weather.

Congratulations on a fine re-do which is now finished. I had stayed here a couple of years ago when it was a very tired property and I said "never again". Glad I ate those words because the update is well done and it is now a very comfortable and attractive property. Its proximity to O'Hare is also a plus with free shuttle service. The mattress topper is superb and the very soft Marriott linens are first class. It was a very pleasant stay at a reasonable price for a nice Chicago hotel. Would stay here again with pleasure.

Room Tip: All rooms seem to face away from the Kennedy Expressway so noise is not a problem and don't know...

I was in Chicago for a 3 day training seminar. The training facility was next to the hotel and I decided to book it based upon convenience. Much to my surprise, this was a very nice facility. The remodel was well done and the overall look and feel was very clean, modern, and visually appealing. As others have mentioned, the rooms are a bit smaller than what you might find at other hotels, but the room was still very comfortable and well configured and setup. Nice tv’s and has DirectTV for virtually anything you care to watch. I was not pleased about having to pay for wireless internet. This is something I’ve grown accustom to getting for free and needs to be changed. The bar and restaurant were both good to very good. The food was certainly above average for other restaurants of the class. I will say it is cheaper to order breakfast in the room than to eat at the buffet. So keep that in mind if you don’t want the full selection.
What else? Great staff from top to bottom. Very friendly and accommodating. The facility is obviously well managed and it shows in the staff performance and friendliness. Getting back and forth to the airport is quick and easy. Not a great selection of local restaurants, so we took the “L” downtown one night for dinner. This also made lunch selection a bit of a struggle when you are without a vehicle.
All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel for future stays if you need something close to the airport or visiting the AMA facility.

Not up to Marriott corporate brand standards, ok but not great for $200/night!
Tiny room. Restaurant menu very pedestrian and way overpriced, boarding pass machine not working, digital tv service went out (during Ryder Cup final round!!). In fairness to Marriott, other brands in area probably not much better!

This is a good hotel and good prices for the fast moving business traveller low on time.

It is conveniently located from the airport, the rooms are a bit compact but as i mentioned good for the business traveller and not for the holiday types.

The service was good and so was the food.
