No issues, nice staff. GREAT INTERNET CONNECTIONS. I traveled for business. Everything was in order. Our meeting rooms were nice, and the food provided for the meetings was outstanding. good choices.... good food.

overall.. I would have no problems staying at this hotel again. ... for business or pleasure. the location is very good, and puts you near alot of things to do.

Room Tip: May 100% for sure that you request a room as high up as possible, and not on the side of the hotel w...

Usually when we visit Chicago we stay near the Water Tower for shopping, but this time we were going to the Chicago Theater so looked for a place in the theater district. Can't do better than the Renaissance! The hotel is located on the corner diagonal to the Chicago Theater. The location is decent for shopping at Nordstroms and Macy's State Street (the old Marshall Fields) too.

Check in was fast and easy. The dispenser of water with lemon was a nice touch.

Our room overlooked the river and had zero noise. The room was nice. Bedding and towels were clean, fresh and seemed new. Bathroom was large. Room wasn't too small for 4 people. We ordered room service ahead of time to be delivered at a certain time to the two who stayed in the room during our dinner and show and it was delivered accurately and on time. After the theater our group walked back to the hotel bar. We werent thrilled that we had to walk all the way around to the front entrance to get back into the hotel but can accept that as being better for security. The back entrance, which was closer to the theater, was locked and we didn't see a place to swipe our card. It was unlocked during the day which allows access to the shops.

The pool was nothing special. It wasn't large, looked clean and had a lane roped off for swimming laps. I didn't see anything special for the kids to play with, but that didn't stop the fun. There were plenty of chairs around the pool as well.

We were disappointed that the concierge room wasn't open. I've found that to be fairly common at Marriott properties unfortunately.

Parking is standard for Chicago. I always look for a package that includes parking but unfortunately didn't find a great deal so went with the standard rate and self parked about a block away.

We didn't bring our dog this time so I can't comment on their pet policy.

We'd stay here again (so long as they allow our little dog.)

Room Tip: Our room on the River side was quiet and had a nice view.

The renaissance is most impressive in its location. Overlooking the river and
State street. Walking distance to the park, restaurants, Miracle Mile shopping,
public transportation, etc. All just steps from the front door.

The rooms are nice, not uber-luxurious, but nice. Wonderful bed!

Club level lounge was exceptionally staffed, good breakfast, drinks, etc!

One note of comment: The dinner tray from the previous guest sat outside our room after our check-in, despite 2 phone calls AND personally telling the housekeeper.

Great location and pretty much what you would expect from a better Marriott property. Mattress seemed a little on the older side-reminded me that it had been slept in before - more than a few times. Otherwise all was great.

Great hotel and the location can't be beat. It was clean and the staff were super. Would definitely stay here again. You can walk right out the door and go on a river tour, walk to Michigan Ave or go across the street to The Wit and go dancing. The bar in hotel was awesome too with great Irish waiter! We never got to the spa and did not have any kids. We loved the location just two blocks from the train from O'Hare.

My company had an event here and we also stayed at the hotel. The staff are stellar. They went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and had everything we needed. The conference went out without a hitch due to the helpfulness of the staff.

The rooms are spectacular. I was upgraded to club level and had a beautiful view of the river. The beds were so comfortable. The rooms spic and span clean. Room service was fast and the food was excellent.

I have no complaints whatsoever and HIGHLY recommend this hotel.
