Right behind the Hancock building and a 2 minute walk to the Magnificant Mile, perfect location. Staff friendly, these are hotel rooms as well as privately owned apartments, so I am not sure if all rooms are the same decor wise. The decor was nice, modern, the shower is stupid, no enclosure so water gets everywhere (european design) there was a makeup mirror/vanity area, but the lighting was poor, so it was hard to see while getting ready. The fridge was useful. The bed was HORRIFIC! They really need to get new matresses and new pillows. The pillows were so high that my neck was completely strained and I needed to visit a chiro the next day (put a cramp in our plans) The matress was similar to a water bed where you could feel every little thing, if my husband got up to use the bathroom, I almost fell out of the bed it was bad. Gym was good enough to get the job done (I am am avid health nut though so may be enough for a regular workout). Otherwise, the room was clean, room service was quick and friendly. There is an awesome place to eat breakfast/lunch & snacks right on the corner of Delaware & Michigan ave, 2 min walking, called L'Appetito. Really great sandwiches and cookies! Overall, I would recommend this place if you have a great back...mine wouldn't be able to take those beds again, so I personally would have to find another place...but perfect location!

Room Tip: Not sure if all rooms are the same as they are privately owned condos...

This is the second time I have stayed at this property. Last time was about 3 years ago. I just love the location as it is at the North end of Michigan (behind the John Hancock building). This makes it very easy to walk to places in the Miracle Mile area and get to spots in the Oak Street area as well.
The rooms are quite large and it is very quiet. We had a double room on the 7th floor. Rooms have a table, desk area, the typical mini fridge, coffee maker. There is a long vanity table outside the bathroom. Longshelf in the bathroom for items and a nice big shower with rain head and hand wand. Great space for parties of 4 staying in one room.
The bell desk is super efficient and all of them very friendly and helpful.
They have added since last time a donut bar in the lobby for the mornings. We opted to head down the street to a favortie spot for breakfast - but it sure smelled great in there.
There is a restaurant and bar on site - but we did not use either this time.

Stayed one night...Room and bathroom were larger than expected for an older hotel...Shower area needs a little TLC from water damage....Top floor bar (Drum Bar), has alot of character, and I would recommend to stop by even if not staying there...Outside rooftop...Great location.

Nice clean suite with updated bathroom and decor. Comfortable bed. Our room was ready early, and checking in and out was quick. Staff was pleasant. We parked in an upscale attended lot right across the street at 200 E. Delaware because they had an "early bird special" sign for $32 a night. It was like having valet, but $21 less than the hotel.

Just know the two elevators will fit four adults with luggage. Sunday morning we waitied while three full elevators stopped for us before walking down six floors with our bags, which was probably good for us after all the great food we enjoyed in Chicago.

Just completed a Mommy's weekend away with some old college friends! This hotel was a fantastic getaway for us! The location was superb - close to all the awesome shopping and great restaurants. The rooms were very comfortable and clean! The staff was very nice and helpful. It was nice to be so close to Michigan Ave and the Lake but it was still a very quiet location to go back to. And, the donuts at the coffee shop were amazing! We would definetly come back for another stay!

My best friend and I booked a weekend in Chicago in the Fall and stayed at the Raffaello based on the price and location of the hotel. The hotel staff were great, especially the Concierge. He provided us with many great ideas for the weekend and took care of making all of our reservations. We went to second city, did the riverboat cruise and lots of shopping.

We had a double bed room and it was nicely furnished and a decent size. We weren't planning on spending lots of time in the room so it was everything we needed. One thing with the room was the the shower is open in the bathroom and we found that there was not a good exhaust system so the whole room got quite humid after one of us showered.

The hotel also has a bar on the rooftop. This was great for late night drinks and socializing. Yes, the elevators are small but we never found it to be a major inconvenience.

If you are looking for a breakfast place, there are a handful of places that serve brunch within a 5 block radius that are not in hotels. Also, next door in the John Hancock Building, there is an Italian cafe that serves breakfast sandwiches and awesome lattes.

I enjoyed this hotel so much that when I received an email highlighting upcoming rate deals, I booked a stay for the beginning of February. I've never been to Chicago in the winter.

Best combination of value and location in the city. Quote me.

We paid 120 booking through hotels.com and knew what to expect after browsing around here.

Rooms and lobby are small and the elevators are SO slow but again were in line with what we were expecting. The staff was friendly as long as you don't ask too much of them. The valet is real slow. But again its a "boutique" hotel that prides itself on that stuff I suppose.

I would stay here again if I were offered the same value but would find some aspects bothersome if I were paying the full price.
