I really enjoy this hotel. It is huge (over 2,000 rooms) and somewhat chaotic when you enter but a really fun place. Great bars right in the hotel! I have stayed here two times and I really enjoyed both trips. The location really could not get any better. The room was modern and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.

My wife and I attended a conference at the Hyatt in late June. We had a great deal of free time so I really would call it a leisure trip. Anywany, we had a great experience with the staff and comfort of the room (although on the small side). The location is what really what made our stay great. The hotel sits one block away from Michigan Ave at the south end of the miracle mile. If you, like us, prefer walking around rather than taking trolleys and buses -- this is the place to stay. It's within walking distance to Millenium park, Grant Park, Navy Pier and all of the people watching you can stand. Also, do yourself a favor and let the concierge help you book an architectural river cruise on the Chicago river.

I got a great deal for this place on priceline.
The staff is very friendly and efficient. I was first given a standard room but it was very noisy on that entire floor because there were tons of partying college students. So I was upgraded to a junior suite on a higher floor with an amazing view over the city.
The hotel is very conveniently located, has a great lobby and bars and the generous rooms are equipped with all the usual ammenities a 4 star hotel offers and there is even an ipod dock. The furniture seems to be rather old and outdated and some of the rooms have a funny (mildew) smell to them. Wireless costs 13 dollars per day which I think is way too expensive. All in all a great place to stay if you find a good offer.

If you're looking for a quiet, charming place, this isn't it. But, I found it to be just fine for our purposes. My mom and I just needed a place to sleep and relax after sightseeing and shopping. I stayed two nights, and got a great price through Priceline ($75 per night). Because I booked on Priceline, I didn't get to choose the hotel, but was pleased with this one. It's an easy walk from Michigan Avenue and many Chicago attractions, so the location can't be beat. The rooms were clean and fairly quiet, and I was actually quite impressed with the level of finishes. I think I was in a handicapped access room--the bathroom was HUGE. Nice toiletries and bed.

The only negative was the level of chaos in the lobby--the hotel is a big, conference hotel and they have many events going on constantly, so at times it felt crazy. And, I think they had an elevator issue in the building I was in (there are multiple wings), because it took forever. But, all in all, these weren't a big detraction from an otherwise great stay.

The hotel is at a very good location - walking distance to all the important sights in Central Chicago. The Check-In was very efficient and very friendly! Room was big - very clean and hat a comfortable bed. Bath: good clean - the usual 4*-hotel things.
Didn't try breakfast as there is a good breakfast shop just a corner away.

Only negative: Internet is pretty expensive - I think hotels of that category should offer that for free

Spent 6 nights there. One of the best hotels I ever stayed in. Nice, spacious, clean rooms, seemed renovated.
Very good location, on the edge of The Loop, very close to the Pier too.
Was there shortly before Christmas and the atmosphere in the hotel was quite unique.
Would definitely stay there again

Got the hotel on Hotwire for a pretty good deal. Nice hotel, rooms are pretty new, comfortable beds, clean. Only a few blocks from El stops and Michigan Avenue. Two complaints: when I called to front desk to ask if they had WiFi in the lobby (a simple question), I was transferred endlessly and finally just hung up without an answer. Second, internet in your room is $13/day. Pretty ridiculous when you can get it free at hotels of lower quality.
