great hotel and great location to stay. Lot of restaurants around and easy connectivity through buses and trains.simply loved the hospitality and the suite was good. very disappointing is that they charge for wifi at 10$ per day. Complimentary breakfast was good not so great. But overall hotel is a good pick to stay.

We stayed here for 4 nights and it was a very pleasant surprise. Suite was very roomy and had everything you might need. Breakfast was awesome. Eggs cooked to order included in your breakfast options. Convenient location! Would definitely recommend. We will stay here again next time we're in the city.!

I've stayed at this Embassy Suites location a number of times and recommend this for the location and comfort. Only a block from the subway and easy walking distance to tons of restaurants and only a few blocks to Michigan Avenue shopping.

DISCUSSION:

If you are looking for a Carnival Cruise on land then you need to book at this hotel during spring break.

When we arrived on Friday the hotel was packed with families who did not seem to care that there were other people staying at the hotel. Adults would come to the breakfast buffet barefoot, in their flannel PJ’s and with towels wrapped around their hair after getting out of the shower. The lines for getting both breakfast and the cocktails and snacks in the afternoon were a mile long.

I asked the manager whether or not this chaos was typical or whether something special was happening. He said “Oh no, it’s like this every spring break”.

The workout room is in a small room located off of the pool area with no separate access door. When I was working out several young children came in without adult supervision and started playing on the treadmills. This was extremely annoying. There was no sign visible limiting use of the equipment to adults.

The chaos ended after the weekend when spring break was over and then peace, quiet and order was restored.

When we checked in we were given a room that faced a parking deck. I opened the curtain and was looking into the windshield of a car parked in the deck. I went down to the front desk and was immediately given another room with a better view.

Having said all of the above, I have never seen any staff at any hotel clean more than the staff at this Embassy Suites. The property is spotless. There was always someone around cleaning something at almost any time of day. With all the children, food and liquids being handled in the atrium, it is amazing and a credit to the staff that the hotel is able to keep it spotless. The manager was always visible walking around the hotel supervising and observing. Every single one of the staff is extremely friendly always saying hello and offering a smile. I reported to the front desk that we had a light bulb out in the bathroom on my way to breakfast and it was replaced by the time I returned from eating.

Even with all the chaos of the first few days of our stay, would I chose to stay at this hotel again? ABSOLUTELY!!!

This was a great spot, particularly for families who need a bit of room to spread out. For families with three children who are used to squishing into two beds, this is the hotel for you!
Lots of space for everyone. Two double beds and then a pull out couch in the living room, a little bar fridge, bar sink and a table to eat it make this a great choice for families. Good but smallish pool and a giant cooked to order breakfast. Also, there's a managers reception in the evening with free wine and chips and dip. I didn't go to it, but lots of people were milling about appreciatively. The lobby was being renovated when I was there, will be very stylish. Great location right next door to a little market selling prepared food, wine, groceries etc. Also right next to one of the subway stops--very well located.

Room Tip: All rooms face an interior courtyard on one side. Mine faced a parking garage on the other, side (cars were about five feet away) but it didn't matter so much because I had the other windows.
