“Great location!!”
Reviewed April 5, 2014

Great location. We were well within walking distance to Millennium Park & the museums & only a short taxi ride to the north part of the Magnificent Mile & could easily walk back to our hotel while shopping.

The room we stayed in was smaller than expected however for two people who planned to not spend a ton of time in the room. The staff was very helpful any time we asked question or needed suggestions.

We got a great price through Orbitz & it was well worth it!!

Stayed Friday-Thursday for work. Honors member and got a upgrade with a King bed in the renovated area. Great service and kudos for the free wifi and workout facilities because of the conference. Parking was a bit steep but I guess that's Chicago. Had a great trip and was able to do lots if walking---Jimmy Greens, Weber Grill, Devil Dawgs, and Hugo's Frog House were all great places to eat. Great to walk up and downMichigan Ave---so much to see.

What a beautiful hotel. And the history it has is great but it has HUGE issues. For example I was staying on the sixteenth floor and the airconditoner only went down to 67. When mantainence arrived he said yea that is the farthest it will go you will need to open the windows, We the windows only opened up so far and then you hear traffic and other items from the street all night long. Luke warm water in shower, no Hot water. Come visit the hotel for the beauty and history but stay elsewhere.

Room Tip: Breakfast bar was 21.00 dollars....

The Chicago Hilton is a beautifully maintained, large and historic hotel. They have excellent deals on their website. March 29, 2014 we stayed there on the "Family Fun" package. This included a room, parking (worth $68) and full buffet breakfast for two, for $199. Our room, on the 17th floor, was quiet, comfortable, clean and bright, with three windows and two bathrooms. Suggest you join HiltonHonors which lets you use the express check-in line. Can't think of anything negative about this hotel. The location, on South Michigan Avenue by the lake and across from Grant Park, is terrific.

This hotel is a huge convention venue. It is also very old, and depending on your own tastes this can be construed as "classic" or "dated". It is currently (3/14) undergoing room renovations, floor by floor. I was first given a room in level 7, which has not been renovated. The room smelled, the carpet and upsholstery were stained and the telephone system was ancient: don't ask for a wake-up call since it will keep ringing forever even after you pick it up. The next day I was given a renovated room in the 9th floor, which was of course more pleasant. The in-room Wifi service was still spotty and it was impossible to have someone fix it in the middle of the night. The hotel has many rooms facing Lake Michigan, but because it is an old design its windows are small and the full impact of a lakeview suite is lost. Its location on South Michigan Avenue is a bit far on foot from Chicago's many points of interest, clustered closer to the Chicago river. You come across many solicitors and unfortunately homeless people in the vicinity. The front desk and concierge desk people were phenomenal and extremely friendly, which is important when you want to make the best out your visit to this wonderful city.

Room Tip: Make sure you request a room in a renovated floor.

This is by far the best hotel that i have ever stayed in. If you want a little treat and a little taste of luxurious heaven, this is the place to go...

With a sun trap terrace on the 7th floor, just beside the pool and gym, it has a lythe something for everyone.

Close to national museums and the Shedd aquarium, not forgetting walking distance from the famous Magnificent Mile, and lake shore drive, this hotel will not not disappoint you. There's a fantastic bar on the ground level called Kitty O' Shea's, a little taste of Ireland awaits you here and be sure to say hi to Paddy Reilly, the friendly Irish bar tender who will be more than happy to tell you one or two stories about the emerald island of Ireland. Can not recommend this hotel enough, should you be lucky to stay here, you'll must certainly be back. Enjoy ;-)
