About 900 women descended on this lovely hotel September, 2013. One of the most exciting things offered was two bathroom per room. They understood us perfectly! My roommate and I had our own bath, own bed and enough room to maneuver around. The soundproofing was very good and the morning room service was prompt and courteous. (Coffee and toast for early risers.). The beds were very comfortable.

It was somewhat confusing finding my way around the hotel foe meetings. Thankfully our organization had people posted at strategic corners for directions.

Convention food was average.

Waitstaff in bars was friendly.

I'd return as a single guest.

Room Tip: Easy to ask for an upgrade to 2 baths and a bit more space.

The staff was very helpful. The first room was not very clean so they moved us to another "riverfront" room( recessed and very limited view). The location was great- within walking distance of many tourist sites. The room had two complete bathrooms which was ideal for me and my grandchild.
We were surprised and disappointed to have to pay extra for Internet service.

Pretty hotel, and fairly good business facility. But this hotel charges extra for things that should be free, especially to business customers. Room wi-fi costs $12 a night, and there is a charge to access the fitness facility. Some of the rooms have been renovated and some have not and are quite old with run down fixtures. I have stayed in other Hilton hotels that provide a much better experience and value.

Dear Valued Guest,
Thank you for taking the time to share your comments. Please accept our sincere apology for your disappointments during your stay especially, as it relates to the additional charges for the internet and our athletic club. Please be assured, we work hard to maintain competitive prices within the downtown area hotels.
Recently we have completed renovations on a number of our guestrooms with more to come. These new renovated rooms brought amenities such as a refrigerator and an in-room safe. We truly hope you will visit us again and come enjoy one of our renovated rooms.

We look forward to welcoming you back to serve you in the true spirit of hospitality for which Hilton Hotels are known.

This is a huge, tired hotel which from its opening in 1927 was geared to convention-goers. Think of the old hotels of Atlantic City before the casinos. In 1968 at their convention, Democrats were treated to the tear gas that seeped into the ventilation system as the cops bludgened anti-Vietnam war protesters outside. Some of that smell seems to linger.
Only saving grace is its Michigan Ave. location, but rooms are small and oddly designed. We opted to pay extra for a "large" room which turned out to be two small 1927-vintage rooms with a wall knocked out. There were three of us and two water glasses.
We were enticed by the advertisement of a "free shuttle" to the University of Chicago, but when we inquired about it we were told to contact the University and the concierge showed no interest in helping or being much of a guide generally when we asked other questions.
The hotel was awash with groups wearing similar name tags - conventioneers all. Golly gee, we're in Chicago, not Oshkosh!

I find it difficult to believe for the price we paid for the room, we had to pay extra for hard wired internet and a daily fee for cardio equipment. Room was clean. No refrigerator in room. I was there on business and had to go to the lobby to use my laptop for free wifi.

This historic property is located in the South Loop area of Chicago, adjacent to Grant Park and very close to Soldier Field, with essentially a lake-front view. Rooms are relatively small, and though billed as recently renovated, seem dark and under-whelming. Rooms are fairly loud in that you can hear hallway conversations and doors slamming all day and night. The bathrooms are tiny, with little counter space and very little space to hang towels. Workspace is fairly ample. Was unable to cool the room below 71 degress despite setting the A/C at 65 for the duration of out two-day stay. (I need a cool room in order to sleep well).

Clearly, this hotel is geared to meetings, conventions and large groups. Numerous options to eat, very nice lobby facilities, and pleasant staff. Has an unavoidable "factory" feel which is perfectly fine as long as you know what you're in for.

This hotel is very clean and the staff were very helpful and courteous. The rooms did seem to be overpriced especially considering how far south on Michigan Ave you are and I was extremely disappoint that on top of the expensive room there was no complimentary internet access or fitness center access.
