It's a Travelodge, so I really didn't expect too much. The pluses: really nice location close to public transit, lots of restaurants around, room was clean, bed comfortable, cheaper than the other big hotels nearby, amenities included fridge, safe, microwave, coffee maker, iron & board, free WiFi. The minuses: elevator service was excruciatingly slow, and therefore usually crowded in the mornings...the hotel is too large for only 2 ancient elevators. Rooms at the back of the hotel have ZERO view other than the brick wall of an old building. Even if you strain, you can't see the sky from the fifth floor. That sounds like it might assure a quiet stay, but the sanitation trucks are in the alleyway below promptly at 5 AM making a racket that sounds like an active thunderstorm. (Luckily, I am a very early riser, so the racket in the alley beat my alarm clock by only a few minutes.) They pipe their hot water in from Seattle, so if you do get up early, expect to run your shower for at least 5 minutes before anything approaching warm water comes out. Some of the front desk staff are a bit surly (Parvez,) and in the morning it is seriously understaffed.
