Reviewed October 23, 2012

This was a nice hotel near most major attractions and within the theater district.
Quaint, charming, neat and tidy. Friendly and helpful staff.

Dated hotel with rather old and distressed furniture. Needs an upgrade badly. Elevators were old and SLOW.

This property is close to bus lines and has resturants nearby, even next door. I faced the street and had more light coming into the room than I like, but I still rested.
Low shower water temp one morning and running the tap didn't bring hot water up.
Clean and comfortable.

This hotel is in the heart of downtown Chicago. 20 minutes walking to Willis Tower, 5 minutes walking to Millenium Park, metro station at the corner, 4 minutes walking, fast foods, restaurants, CVS, 7/11, Potbelly Rest, around the corner. Housekeeping can be better. Bathroom towells were not well cleaned my first night. I had to complaint. No more problems thereafter. Hotel staff willing to help all the time. Sam the handy man, very attentive. Lester the Bell Boy was very friendly. Ricardo at front desk very professional. WIFI weak signal most of the time, but work. There is a printer with a LAPTOP to print your boarding pass for free. Elevators are slow. No desk in the room. But, location compensate this. I walked a lot. Chicago have so many things to offer. Riverwalk, Willis Tower Skydeck. Buy the Chicago City Pass, for the five museums at Chicago for the half price and fast pass priority at the line. Train station at the airport was excellent. Each trip is $2.25, buy a $10.00 card. You can add more if needed. Read the Chicago Transportation Authority (CTA) website. You will be able to see and print trains schedules and metro maps. Do not go to John Hancock Tower. Mirrors at observation deck, do not allow you to take good picture. No good camera focus, too many reflections. Willis Tower Skydeck, A MUST TO GO. See their website, very informative. Go and see the U505 German Submarine at the Natural Science and Air Musem. The only one in America. It was captured by US on June 4, 1944. Is an original, not a copy. See the Museum website for more information.

Take a room away from the elevators and the train side. Very noisy.

Room Tip: Take a room away from the elevators and the trains. Very noisy.
