“big breakfast buffet”

stayed here for 2 nights. good location with plenty of restaurants nearby. staff helpful although not even their service could prevent the free wifi fiasco with printing. internet cafe nearby solved the issue. easy transport on the el with a transit pass only 2 blocks away. get a quiet room at the back - we didnt and the noise from staff in the side alley having a cigarette til past midnight was unpleasant. the big breakfast buffet was fab - waffles, breads, pastries, cereals, coffee, juices, fruit - yummy! good value and we loved chicago. hotel has apologised for the noise and wifi issues and promised me a free upgrade next time - shame its such a long way from the uk.

i only had a night in chicago, and this was close to a few restaurants and bars i wanted to check out. the neighborhood was cool and had some good shopping.
i had a hard time getting into the city from here, mostly because i got confused with the buses, but it's still in a good spot.
the rooms were clean, and my room was quite large, so i was pleasantly surprised.
the staff were so nice and really helpful they drew up plenty of maps for me.
the website had mentioned that it used to be a bit of a rock and roll hotel, and sure enough one of the bands i was in town to see were staying there! but thankfully the walls must be thick because i a very quiet, peaceful nights sleep!

My colleagues and I have been staying at this Days Inn for many years. The location is great and it's in a converted older brick buidling. What really makes this an incredible place is the staff. They are dedicated, caring, personable --- very concerned about making your stay the best, whether for business or pleasure. This is an incredible find in a fun part of Chicago.

Our family stayed at the Days Inn for the Chicago Marathon. The price was an excellent value compared to what we would have been charged for a downtown hotel. The location is still very good, in a neighborhood with many hip restaurants that looked very safe, and a few blocks from the metro/subway. Neil at the front desk was outstanding in helping us with our needs, going beyond the call of duty to ensure we had a pleasant stay. No problem with valet parking. Breakfast included the opportunity to make humongous waffles.

The room was spacious, clean, about what I expected. We also had free wifi. I would definitely go back to the Days Inn.

This was my second time staying here and i really like the place, the staff are great and really helpful, there was one guy in particular who has been on the front desk everytime i have stayed, i cant remember his name but he seems to be senior and he is really nice. The room was a little small but there was enough space and you are right up the road from wrigley field.
Breakfast is ok, nothing too healthy on it but still ok.

I stayed at this hotel for a three nights toward the end of September, 2009. I had booked a standard king size room, but at check-in, was upgraded to a business suite, which we appreciated very much. This is probably one of the cleanest hotels I've ever stayed in; and also one of the quietest. I had a room facing interior courtyard and heard absolutely no street noise the entire stay, and very little noise from the hallway. They offer an excellent free breakfast, with delicious make-your-own waffles. Every one I spoke to at front desk were very professional, very attentive to your needs, especially a young man named Viktor, who had some excellent choices for nearby restaurants . I would absolutely stay at this hotel again, and have recommended it to several friends. Chicago's a great city with lots to see and do, and this hotel makes an excellent home base. Close to L station (Diversey - three blocks) and in the middle of a great neighborhood.
