Description: 676 Restaurant focuses on using ingredients from Midwest and local farmers whenever possible. The fare is approachable, organic and sustainable - local food treated the way it was intended. Chef accentuates the food selection with an ever changing selection of hand-made house charcuterie, honey from his own hive, produce from rooftop gardens located on the sundeck at the Omni Chicago Hotel and pork from the exclusive Acorn Edition IV pig out of Norwalk, Iowa. Chef and his culinary team’s dishes will bring back memories of fishing from the dock for bluegill, hunting game in the north woods, summers spent picking apples from the orchard trees hoping not to get caught and standing in awe at the plethora of jarred food under grandma’s basement stairs. That is the Midwest. That is 676. With unparalleled views of Chicago’s famous Magnificent Mile, this unique restaurant experience is augmented with rustic touches, communal plates and a bit of nostalgia of the foods you remember as a kid.

Great view and good food. The spicy sausage flat bread is fantastic with fries for a meal. Slightly pricey but if you are staying at the hotel a good place to have drink and unwind.

“Amazing breakfast and great view”
Reviewed August 1, 2012

So I just had one of those "Wow, that was one of the best things I have ever eaten" moments and trust me, we eat out a LOT. I tried the local grits - which were amazingly delicious. Super cheesy and creamy with fresh corn, chives, garlic and TONS of bacon. Oh my goodness was this sinful. And the presentation of all of the dishes was spot on as well, kind of an upscale vintage country kitchen if that makes sense. My grits were served in a tall mason jar, with a small jar of butter with a wooden spoon on the side. My son's cheerios were served in a short mason jar with locking lid. Really cute. And all of the food was organic and the majority of it is local. A lot of special touches such as homemade jams, infused honey, etc. Great vegetarian options (they even have Morningstar sausage patties). For you coffee lovers - they serve organic Starbucks coffee. And the view - it's great; the restaurant is located on the 4th floor of the Omni Hotel overlooking Michigan Avenue (nice big windows). I will definitely be going back!!! Highly recommended.

“Not your typical hotel fare”
Reviewed July 6, 2012

626 was a pleasant surprise inside the Omni. We enjoyed both evening drinks at the bar and the wonderful breakfast buffet. It was not your typical luke warm food. There was a nice variety of offerings and everything tasted great.
