We stood in line for over an hour on a normal windy fall day, but once we got inside, the wait was worth it. The "diner" was filled with hot dog decor...yes hot dog decor, and the owner and wait staff were great. I recommend "The Dog", but add a corn dog & some cheese fries, because they were great as well. It's a great place to get a good Chicago Style Dog.

Was told we should go there. So we went. There was a queue, as there always seems to be, but we managed to be served after a 30 minute wait. Not that bad. Tried a few dogs and actually, i much prefer the normal standard dogs (not the fancy foie gras and all, they are expensive, and not that good). Overall, a fun outing if you like hot dogs. The owner is friendly, the place is good, if you have an hour or so to waste (and are hungry but prepared to queue), go there!

If you love hotdogs this is the place to try all the different types that are made. Beats hotdogs at a baseball game. Fries, on Friday and Saturday's fries made in duck fat, heaven. Doug is the owner and will take your order with a smile and conversation.

We arrived a half an hour before opening to get a good spot in line - and I'm glad we did. The line got longer as we waited and was much longer by the time we left.

A standard hot dog, fries, and sodas are all very reasonably priced. The fancy/gourmet hot dogs are on the pricey side, but were fabulous. The toppings are generous.

Doug takes all of the orders personally which really made the trip special.

The atmosphere is fun - our young son loved all of the decorations.

Featured on many food network shows. Unusual hot dog menu changes daily. Long long lines on the days of the week that they are open. Worth it. Fridays and Saturdays "duck fat" fries are offered.
