Owner description: Experience Chicago as it was during the 1920's and 30's. See the old gangster hot spots and hit spots! Hear historically accurate accounts of the exploits of Capone, Moran, Dillinger and the rest of the boys! Feel the excitement of jazz-age Chicago during the era of prohibition. Enjoy . . . a journey into the past as we cruise the city in search of the old hoodlum haunts, brothels, gambling dens and sites of the gangland shootouts!

We were a lil hesitant about taking this tour, but WOW, these guys were great. Excellent way to see the darker side of Chicago.

“Kids loved it and I learned quite a bit”
Reviewed January 11, 2013

The jokes are corny and the costumes are obvious, but it was really good fun. My kids are 11 and 8. They loved every minute of the tour. I was amazed by how much I learned about gangster Chicago. Yes, none of the buildings are still around, it is Chicago where everything is rebuilt all the time, so no shock that a flower shop from the 1920s is no longer standing. The information is good, and the delivery is entertaining.

“Great fun and informative”
Reviewed January 2, 2013

We booked this tour for 4 twenty-somethings and their parents and all had a great time. "Shoulders" and "Johnny Three-Knives" gave an amusing gangster shtick. They provided the expected gangster history and also several pieces of information about most neighborhoods of the city. There is even a hokey sing along and a raffle to fill some down time. Yes, many of the actual buildings no longer exist, but you still learn about what happened and why. You travel in a school bus so the windows fog up a lot and there are no bathrooms on the bus, but they can stop if needed. Gunshot sound track might upset young children. We felt it was a much more fun way to see the city than traditional tours.

“Not even average storytelling”
Reviewed December 30, 2012

A cold bus, a late start, and poor storytelling made this little more than a drive around the city. Very disappointing tour, particularly offended by the guides asking for tips at the end.

“Funny.”
Reviewed December 24, 2012 via mobile

It's a funny tour where the guide interacts a lot with the tourists. Bus needs an update and it would be nice to be able to get out for a minute or 2 to take pictures.
