TheLangham hotel concierge recommended the Quartino for a casual after-show dinner with good food....geat choice! Large selection of pasta dishes and pizza. The minestrone soup was outstanding...a must try!! Save room for the dessert..tiramisu and the Italian donuts were so good.

Thank Britinus

Made reservations on Open Table for 3 before seeing a play in Chicago on a Wednesday night. Ran late due to traffic but hostess was very accommodating when we called to let her know we'd be late. Restaurant has a small plate menu with lot's of options. All dishes well prepared and brought to our table very quickly. We shared two appetizers, a small pizza (pepperoni & sausage), and two entrees. Ample fresh cut French bread and good wine selection (carafe & bottle only). Deserts choices are limited but good sized for sharing. Valet service was prompt but expensive ($14.95 + tip). Sat down at 5:45 and we were out the door at 6:45. Other in less of a hurry would enjoy a more relaxed meal in a great setting. Check out the bathrooms upstairs which share a common glass wall!

This restaurant is a fun place to go with friends. The dishes are small but there is plenty for two to share. The prices are reasonable so it means you can get quite a few to share without breaking the bank. The food is delicious, the lemon sponge desert was yummy, the only downside was that the pizza only comes in one large size which was too big for two people to share especially if you wanted to try some of the other dishes. Would certainly recommend this restaurant for a night out.

I went with one other person, but this place would be great for a group to share more things. We had arugula salad, cavatelli pasta, veal skirt steak, short ribs, octopus, and chocolate cake. Everything was great! The meat dishes were especially good, and I'd try the pizza next time. I'd probably stick with the same dessert, too. Warm, fudgy cake with vanilla ice cream.

We have dined at Quartino in the past and for our day trip to the city we decided to have dinner there on Friday night. We walked in without a reservation and were immediately escorted to a table. Our AMAZING server, Alysia, approached our table with a big smile and a warm welcome to the restaurant. She explained the menu and how it works and made me, my daughters and husband, who is a chef, feel right at home. We started with a few salads and the fried calamari which were excellent. Our next few courses were the Margherita pizza, the Veal meatballs (Alysia offered to split the meatballs into 2 orders~3 with the traditional sauce and 3 with the Napoli sauce) and the linguini and clam sauce (white). Everything at this point was so delicious! The last thing we ordered, which my husband had ordered a few months prior and was dreaming about, was the Braised Pork Shank. Alysia, sensing his excitement suggested adding polenta with it to "catch the juices". She was ABSOLUTELY correct. It was out of this world, but unfortunately at this point we were beyond full and were not able to finish it :( I have to add that we had a table of somewhat "overzealous" customers next to us and were using some language which was "too adult" for our teenagers. Alysia was on top of it and was at their table ASAP asking them to keep it down. She could tell that it upset us and, once again went a step above, apologized to us many times and also brought us a complimentary dessert knowing our bellies were full but felt the need to see us smile and leave happy. The price was right, the food was phenomenal, and the service was Out of this World (not only Alyisa but everyone who approached our table). We will be back and will most likely request the same server and order the Braised Pork Shank first ;). Double High Five Quartino!!
