Drab grey walls, sketchy neighborhood, just plain. Did get a free shirt though and the fans were friendly.

My son and I have been to most of the MLB stadiums. This ranks near the bottom. It is located in a lousy neighborhood. The walk up to the stadium is like walking up to a factory. The stadium has dreary and dark corridors packed with profane and rude people. the inside of the stadium has little or no personality. If we were not trying to attend all of the MLB parks, we would have skipped this one. This is not a family-friendly place like most MLB stadiums. I would never take kids to a game here again.

This was number 16 crossed off my husbands list to visit the 30 MLB Ballparks. We bought our tickets and parking online and needless to say the ticket prices are a fraction of what you pay at other ballparks! We sat in the 7th row for $25 a piece. Buying the parking in advance was convenient and easy and the parking was safe and close to the stadium. Friends comments and reviews made us think we were heading into a war zone but we felt very safe driving through the surround area of the stadium (west of the interstate). We were delighted to see what we consider low food prices. The food definitely has a strong Latin influence with many elote stands, nachos and churros. There were so many elote stands that I couldn't leave without trying some. They cut the corn off the ear in front of you and add butter, mayo, parmesan cheese, lime and chili powder. It was very good! The kids training area is very cool, make sure your kids wear tennis shoes if they want to try their hand at everything from running to catching, hitting and pitching all with pointers from the pros. Sadly we were not able to find a postcard of the stadium at the ball park but we later found one at Navy Pier. Overall the stadium is visually dull - it's all grey and black, the ball playing at our game was pretty dull as well. They did have a few cute camara games that they keep you entertained with on the big screen but there was not very much fan energy or participation in the way of cheers etc. Overall we are so glad we visited and we wish we would have come sooner. We would come back again and hope for a better game next time. Definitely a good value as far as MLB games are concerned. Oh, you can only take unopened water bottles in and limited food in a clear ziplock bag. Read their website for details.

If you want to see an mlb game in Chicago, this is hands down the stadium to visit. The food quality and the variety, is top 5 in all of baseball. Beer selection will satisfy everyone including craft beer lovers. The views from all lower seats are exceptional, including bleachers. I advise staying away from upper deck. Parking is as easy as it gets and the neighborhood is safe. There is a TON to do for kids and families and the White Sox do a great job making the atmosphere fun and inviting. You see families all over this park and the fans are gracious, passionate and loyal vs. the obnoxious, mostly drunk fair weather fans who visit the crumbling field on the other side of town.

This beautiful stadium was host to Sox vs Texas Rangers the day we went. The redline train provided easy access to the stadium from downtown hotels. Like any pro sports team stadium, drinks and food are not cheap. We had seats on the front row behind center field. It was a worth every penny to sit on the front row and prop your feet up on the fence post in front of us.

Hopefully next trip to Chicago I can see Wrigley Field.
