Back in the day and over time, this has been a misunderstood and sometimes controversial piece of art. But now, over 50 years since it was placed in Daley Plaza, it’s viewed as a major piece of art and unique in the world. In my view, it had added to the overall status of both the Plaza and the City.
I have walked through this Plaza numerous times over the years and more often than not, it was being photographed or viewed or enjoyed by someone.
It is unique and I think cool. It has never been named- just known as The Picasso Statue.
When visiting Chicago, it’s a MUST SEE!
