First of all, do plan to SHOP. Eataly is basically a huge, multi-floor market selling everything--and I mean EVERYTHING--Italian. A jaw-dropping selection of pasta, sauces, confections, condiments, beverages (and yes, wine!) and more, including probably the largest selection of cheeses I've ever seen--and I have seen a lot of cheese mongers! Then there are the food stations and a coffee bar. Highly recommend La Pizza & La Pasta for excellent pizza and terrific pasta dishes; the spinach & cheese ravioli was exquisite. They also offer a vegan pizza without cheese, plus spaghetti with a vegan marinara sauce, both delish. Go, enjoy, and don't come out empty-handed!

Overall, this is a decent place. I thought the food was decent and I would probably return sometime.

First of all, I can say Eataly in general terms this is great place.
I know the one in Rome, Dubai, Sao Paulo and this one in Chicago for many reasons keep its promise of good quality and variety of italian regional food.
The point I didn't appreciate is the noise and the difficulty to move on the different places.
It seems not well conceived to receive a large amount of people.
Service should be improved a bit, people serving don't know much about italian cuisine.
Few points need to be improved it's clear.
Cannoli ricotta and pistacchio not really fresh in my opinion.
Caffé was pretty good but served with plastic spoons ;-(
Price of wine incredibly high.

Craving for pasta and saw this place. Once inside it was very confusing as to where the restaurant was. Eataly is half delicatessen/grocer and half restaurant. The lower level was the desserts and 'fast' takeaway and food court style eating. There is no signage or people directing customers to the restaurant eating upstairs. Besides that, the food was delicious and the waiters polite and efficient.

A huge cavern of a place on 2 floors selling every Italian food you can think of. There were several very casual feeding stops around. Our was Pasta and Pizza. Yes, that was it, very limited menu. Glass of indifferent wine was $11. Bill for one pizza and one lasagna was an exorbitant $66 with wine. I make better lasagna at home. This was bone dry, no tomato or cheese sauce that I could see. Sent it back. Second only slightly better, a scraping of meat but still no sauce and lukewarm. Pizza had thick brown crust, lots of it. Any neighbourhood Italian must be better than this. And the noise! Screaming sounds, couldn’t have a conversation. Rickety chair. Not a pleasant experience.
