My boyfriend and I stayed at the Drake and had a free breakfast voucher as part of a deal. We went here for breakfast, which would not be worth the listed prices at all had we paid full price. We waited a half an hour to be seated, which is fine for a restaurant on a Sunday morning. However, when we were seated we were not helped/served at all - we were completely ignored for 30 minutes and could not find anyone to help us. Finally we found a server and asked for juice - which came about an hour into the breakfast.
We had the buffet, which was supposed to be a full, warm buffet but was highly disappointing. The "hot" foods were scrambled eggs and potatoes, and probably some meat but I'm a vegetarian so can't speak to that. Both were cold and tasted strange - like cleaning products. There was an omelet station but the line was far too long to bother. The other options were all cold/continental - cereal, toast, cold cinnamon buns, yogurt, granola, and fruit.
I enjoy some of these items, but the serving containers set out were so small, after waiting in line behind two people they were emptied out. The items weren't labeled well, so be careful if you have allergies or food/dietary requirements. The yogurt was sitting out in a bowl and looked unappetizing, so I ended up eating a dannon container yogurt, which was warm.
Many items were empty, including all beverages, and were not refilled in our time there. We were limited to the single glass of juice finally delivered at the end of our meal.
Service, when existent, was brusque and made us feel as though we were being rushed out. Not a good meal, and definitely ruined the morning after our lovely stay at the hotel.
