We just came away after spending 5 nights at this hotel. We had a suite on the 19th floor and the view was great. Though it does not face the Michigan lake directly but the room was excellent - my entire family loved it. The location is great - it is right on the Michigan Avenue. Most sights and shopping areas are about a 15 minute walk. The closet is the Art Institute of Chicago, followed by the Millennium Park and of course, the Shedd Aquarium. The hotel serves a full breakfast. While there are no lunch or dinner arrangements, there are lots of places in the close vicinity, where one can go for a great (and inexpensive) meal.

I would definitely recommend a stay. Also, I would like mention Erin, who made the reservation process very easy.

Room Tip: Please choose rooms on the higher floors - they offer great views.

First trip to Chicago and we hit the jackpot with this property. Erin, Sharon, Terry and Nadar were there for us in every way, whether it be with directions or just suggestions of fun things to do. They are awesome. Warm, fun and caring.

Our room was fabulous and we had a wonderful view. We had a queen suite and were thrilled to have so much space. The free breakfast was a great way to start the day.

The location of this hotel is perfect. Walking distance to all the attractions that Chicago has to offer. We are planning to return to Chicago and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. I highly recommend the Comfort Suites on Michigan Ave.

In the middle of the Magnificent Mile, downtown Chicago, easy walking distance to many attractions nice rooms(suites with a kitchenette), prices are better if there are no conventions in town. Hop-on hop-off bus pickup spot ~ 100yds from the front door.

The hotel's location is very convenient. I spent two nights at a suite in this hotel. The room is spacious that you can host a party with 15 people in easily. It has a magnificent view of the Chicago Magnificent Mile. However, the downside is the breakfast room which feels like a psychiatric hospital's canteen, with no windows, horrible food selection full of fat and sugar. The staff is friendly but nothing special.

Thank you for taking the time in reviewing our hotel.

We do have very large rooms, although we don't promote parties at the hotel, the rooms are good for small gatherings.

We are in the middle of a renovation of our breakfast area by getting new tables and chairs. We also looking into the food selection. Although there are no windows, the room does have is 2.5 floor atrium ceiling with a huge 15'x20' sun window to help open up the space and make it more inviting.

We came with family members and occupied a total of 3 rooms, booked through a deal site for an EXTREMELY competitive rate. When we visited some local Chicago friends during our trip and they found out where we were staying, and for how much, they could not believe it. We got a great deal!

The hotel is in an amazing location - walking distance to numerous restaurants and activities, plus very close to multiple transit stops. Our room was enormous and looked just like the pictures from the hotel website - very clean. The free wi-fi worked very well. Although we didn't use it during our stay, our kitchen was well-stocked, and the bedroom closet had a washer-dryer in it!

There were really only 3 problems with the hotel, all negated by the price we paid. #1: The water pressure in the shower was very weak - impossible to rinse out all the shampoo! #2: We usually had to wait a while for an elevator to go up or down from our room on the 15th floor. I'm not sure there is an easy fix for either of those problems, but due to how inexpensive our rooms were, it didn't matter. The third problem was the computer available for hotel guests to use, located between the front desk and the breakfast area. I tried to use this on our last night to print off our boarding passes for our flight home. The computer is very difficult to use (slow to load, utilizes a corporate interface that is not at all intuitive) and when I finally was ready to print my documents I discovered the printer was out of ink. A simple sign on top of the printer would have saved me about 20 minutes of hassle with that computer. Fortunately the front desk staff let me use their computer and printer to get my boarding pass so everything worked out in the end.

The front desk staff members were very kind and accommodating: in addition to the help with my boarding passes they also held our suitcase upon our arrival since our room wasn't ready yet, allowed us to check in early, provided numerous recommendations for local eateries, and even loaned us an umbrella when we tried to head out for dinner and realized it was pouring outside.

We would absolutely stay in this hotel again on a future visit to Chicago.

I'm happy to hear that your stay went very well. I'm also happy to hear that we were able to accommodate you with printing your boarding passes, use of an umbrella, allowing an early check-in and was able to help you with suggestions on places to eat.

We hope you come and stay with us again on your next trip to Chicago.

We spend nearly a week in the hotel as we were staying for long we were upgraded without asking to a suite with views to the Chicago Tribune and Michigan av bridge, we also have views to the impressive Trump Tower. So having said that I can confirm there no better location to visit the city, although it is true that that the area is not very lively at night and there are no many dining options. But if you cross the st to Hubard and Lasalle there are plenty of places for a drink and to eat.
Breakfast included although very very crowded at weekends it was enough with bagels, toast, eggs, fruit etc. there is also coffee to take away available 24 hs at the reception also an asset.
The room was huge nearly an apartment with kitchen living room, bedroom and bathroom of course.Altough if I have to say something against I would say that the bathroom was a bit old Though quite acceptable
Staff very helpful and ready to help. I would undoubtedly repeat if I happen to go again. Chicago really deserves a visit!!!

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor with views!! And don not wait till 9 to have breakfast!!

We were looking for a hotel with a kitchenette and homewood suites by hilton was full so we ended up booking this one. We as a family of three with a small child stayed here for 7 nights. Overall quality of everything was very poor. Room is huge with a kitchen and even washer and dryer but all appliances are dated. Kitchen lacks basics. Breakfast was very disappointing. Also Wi-Fi was the worst I have used in a hotel. Air conditioning broke in our room twice.Beds were clean as such. I will only suggest this hotel to those looking for a room with kitchen right on michigan avenue. Location is only what they have got.

Dear Sonal,

Thank you for your recent review and your comments. We are in the process of upgrading our internet service provider so there will no longer be slow Wifi at the hotel. I am sorry that your AC unit was not functioning properly during your stay. This is not the norm at the property. We have hired additional maintenance staff to take care of these types of problems going forward. In regards to extra kitchen utensils we can always offer guests more by calling the front desk at any time. I hope this answered your comments and please contact me personally for anything else.

Thanks,

Robert Humphrey
