We went for dinner and drinks at Fado's on our first night in Chicago. The food was reasonably priced and the drinks were good. My husband ordered the Lamb sandwich and it was awesome!! The waitress was very nice and made us feel right at home. She even brought us complimentary mini glasses of Guiness which was a nice touch. The atmosphere was great. We really enjoyed our meal here.

Fado's Irish pub was rented out by a friends law firm for a private event last week inviting hundreds of clients and potential clients, it was shoulder to shoulder with every seat filled. This type of event always demonstrates a staffs true capabilities because it puts everyone in the weeds. The staff at Fado's shined, I never had an empty drink, the food kept coming, and everyone had a great time. And the Irish band was spectacular!

Having never been to Ireland, I can only imagine that this feels like an authentic Irish pub. Real or not, it was fun and the food was generous and good. Our group ordered the gourmet burger, fish and chips, shepherd's pie, and the Gaelic steak boxy. All reported having a delicious meal. There was also a nice selection of beers, many on tap. The music was a bit loud, but not too bothersome. ( That may have been the case because we chose a table directly under a speaker!). The pub location was ideal, as we were headed to the Blue Chicago club next door, although, had we had no plans, we could have stayed on there for live music a bit later. The pub patrons appeared to be of any adult age, but many of the 20-30's seeming to be meeting upmwith friends. I would like to go back some time and linger longer -- great atmosphere!

Having traveled to Ireland many times, this is the most authentic Irish pub that my husband and I have ever visited in this country. The food was delicious on the two visits that we have made in the past two years. Service is quick and pleasant and the location is convenient to the Mag Mile and public transportation. Prices were very reasonable. Would highly recommend!

That's right---we had a lovely evening on our first night in Chicago. The lamb sandwich was particularly noteworthy and the other meals were good. The service was quite wonderful---on a busy evening our server had time for everyone and a lovely Irish lilt! We will stop back on our next trip, especially if we can catch an evening of music. This is not your typical chain!
