What happened? The owners renovated Great Street, and destroyed so much that was good about this well placed, friendly place. The new menu is bad...heavy, greasy food-- past stand-bys gone. The decor now looks like a cross between a Denny's and MadMen decor. The huge bar is gone, which is fine , but the seats are now no longer encouraging to business lunches. The privacy is gone-- open floor plan, and no privacy. Not a business lunch location any longer. Sad. Some of the friendly servers remain, but many are gone along with the old menu. Will give the place one more chance hoping that things drastically improve, and the chef becomes inspired to again offer basic good food at good prices. Renaissance (Marriott) must have wanted to "fix" this place, but someone sold a redesign and new menu is hopefully yet a work in progress. This is a great hotel. The restaurant has a great view. The food used to be great. Please FIX what you all "fixed"

Recently stopped in for a business lunch and was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. Awesome city views help you over look the slightly dated interior. Servers were friendly and efficient. Not to mention, the food was quite good. Overall I found this place to be both a good value and an excellent place to meet for a business lunch.

The theater package was a tremendous value and we very pleased with both the food and the service. The package included an entree for each of us, one appetizer, one salad, and two desserts. Throw in a bottle of Pinot Noir AND free valet parking for the evening for $99! Made the outrageous price of the theater tickets almost acceptable. We will definitely return as a start for any future theater dates.

We came prior to a performance at the Chicago Theater. We told the waiter what time it started so that he would assure us of getting there on time. The food arrived promptly after ordering. Our table ordered short ribs, skirt steak and whitefish. The entrees and their accompaniments were unanimously wonderful. Praise all around. Good service, made the show with time to spare. Walking distance to theater district. Also a fun second story vantage point to watch the cities' activities. Festive views during holiday season with all the colorful lights. Our second visit, and I wouldn't hesitate a return.

We walked in to an empty restaurant. We were seated right next to the only other table in the place which always annoys me. Why? Oh yeah, to make it easy on the waiter. But the waiter never came. We waited for 5 minutes. The bartender could see us sitting there but refused to acknowledge us. This isn't a winning strategy when one of the best steakhouses in the city is right outside the window. We walked out and had a great meal across the street.
