Had dinner at this restaurant which is authentic Middle East Indian. My friends and I tried both vindaloo and curry dishes. Everything was tasty, but when the bill came, we were surprised because the total was like something you might expect from a downtown restaurant, not from a place along Devon Avenue that has so many competitors. We also thought that the management could/should have added in the rice that is needed for the dishes, but no, that is extra and not a dollar extra; more like $4 a bowl! I guess the key thing to do is to hit the buffet table when you can, not succumb to ordering only from the menu.

Having a coupon with you for a restaurant where you would not know if you would have gone there without it, at least encourage you to write something.
It was bad in all respect. Food, prices and worst, the customer service.

None of our orders were good. I think I never tasted kadai chicken so dull before in an Indian restaurant. Tandoori rotis were really thin and hard.

Probably, only thing that I liked is jeera rice. 

Most of all, what I amazed the server brought a check which was not ours. Looking at orders and 100% increase on the total bill, I was almost fainted. I was even more amazed when I server gave a look when I said that it was not ours as if I was lying to him. Thank god, another server indicated him that he messed it up. To my surprise, he did not even apologize.

One more last thing, its pricey.

This used to be a great place, but over the past few months, things have changed. We went for lunch buffet on Saturday and were surprised to see that the famous "butter chicken" was no longer boneless. They used dark meat with bones. Even the sign above the food said 'boneless' when I asked about it, they said, oh its a mistake, but never took the sign down. The lamb curry was honestly innedible. Not sure when part of the lamb they used, but it was disgusting. All the meat quality was sub-par. Everything was dark meat. The vegetarian food wasn't too bad, but don't go there expecting good meat dishes.
