“Good pub food”

Beer choices galore ( no surprise here) but all food I've tasted so far is worth the trip. Try sweet potato fries and the fried duck livers with biscuits and kale (no kidding). Great bar to sit at - try the foxxy. All of the beers are described clearly on the beer menu with alcoholic content listed - you can also take large bottles to go.

“Really cool little brewery”
Reviewed September 17, 2012

Stopped up Clybourn last evening, took the tour. It was informational because one of the brewers walked us through how to rate beer, as well as the brewing process. The bar has a great atmosphere. Overall a nice experience, and the beer is really good. Everyone we talked to or dealt with was helpful and friendly.

“Pretty cool brewery tour”
Reviewed September 17, 2012

Came here to do a tour and tasting. The tour was pretty cool, but it is just a room, not a huge facility. After that you go to a table and they have 5-6 tasting glasses ready for you and you learn a bit about each as you drink. They also give you a nice pint glass to take home also. All in all for 10 bucks it's a cool place to visit while in Chicago! I don't give it a 0 for food, I just did not try any so didn't want to rate.
Make a reservation for tours!

“Oasis off Clybourne”
Reviewed August 25, 2012

The Clybourne Corridor is handy for shoppers but not so good for lunchers; Goose Island offers a pleasant rest stop with interesting beers, very interesting cocktails for those who don't drink beer, nice food.

“Great beer, OK food, worth a visit.”
Reviewed July 15, 2012

I'm really impressed that Goose Island has retained such high-quality brewing even after being acquired by one of the big evil beer empires. Tried a seasonal Saison that was refreshing and lovely, as well as their IPA which had a freshness and complex hop character that you don't sense in their bottled version. Staff were friendly, if a bit harried, despite it not being busy in the bar when I visited. We had a couple of their entrees which were tasty, but fairly greasy - in other words, typical pub food. Will definitely visit again.
