Description: Voted "Best Irish Pub" 4 years running! Come to Lincoln Park for our amazing food, drink and brunch. The grub at Galway Arms is authentic, fresh and delicious! Galway was carved out of two 90-year-old buildings on Clark Street, and the lived-in, weathered feel remains. With its two fireplaces, friendly staff and amazing dishes this is a great place to grab dinner and a beer. Come in to Galway Arms today!

This is a neighboor favorite of ours. My sweetie and I go on Fridays in the winter to sit by the fireplace, eat fish & chips and have a cold beer as we unwind after the week. In the summer the outdoor covered patio is a great place to sip a drink, watch a game and relax. The food is a couple of steps above bar food and they have a nice selection of beer.

Friendliness and efficiency of the staff cannot be denied. The place and surroundings are pleasant, in a trendy district. Great, roomy terrace. Food was good. But compared to the 4 other Irish pubs that I toured in my visit to Chicago, that was the least traditional, in looks and menu. Only 3 irish beers. I was very glad they had Magner’s Irish cider, which is delicious. Youthfull clientele, which probably justifies the choice of music : very hip hop and ‘bing bang’ style, that appeals to that age group. For the Irish tradition-minded patron, the big plus is the period photos displayed in the snug : very interesting shots of urban or countryside County Galway, in dated 100 years or more. That is worth a visit, but otherwise Galway Arms is not Irish enough.
