“The worst peruvian food in the usa”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 8, 2010

This was the fiasco of our visit to chicago. After neing pamper by places in New York, Nwe Jersey and Florida, Montreal , and Toronto. The food was not peruvian at all very poorly prepared. The mayority of the staff where other than peruvians. The waiter was like a leach when the bill came as he stood over as we were looking at the bill as we were not going to pay. What a disapointed experience.

“Great Atmosphere, Authentic Cuisine in Chicago”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 16, 2009

Love This Place!
I am a Peruvian leaving in Mexico. In my last visit to Chicago i got the opportunity to visit this place and it was the best food I had since leaving Peru. So good to have a real Ceviche (no tomatoes, thank goodness)! It was like what mi abuela used to make.

“Taste of peru in Chicago”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 1, 2009

Finally, we were able to come here, great place, nice music, just andean recordings but beautiful!
Servers are very attentive, checking on us (on times) to make sure we were ok, without being intrusive, Fernando (our waiter) did a great job explaining the dishes, i was going straight to the ceviche ........... jumbo pieces of shrips on it ... wow! big plate!! Peruvian auce was so addictive... we kept ordering over and over, so at the end we took a few botles home.
Great food!
BYOB, no cover charge!
Variety of dishes for all tastes, meat, poultry, vegetarians, great menu.
Will be back

“Best Peruvian Food of 2008”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 2, 2009

If you are a Peruvian you will always try to find a good Peruvian Restaurant around your town. Peruvian Food has flavors and aromas that maintain us in contact with our Peruvian roots, with our happier memories. Ay Ay Picante Peruvian Cuisine is the home i have in Chicago, their food is by far the best i had (comparing to other [peruvian restaurants)places, try their Seco de codero (lamb stew) or my favorite Ceviche mixto, the anticuchos (beef skewers), or the traditional papa ala Huiancaina, prices?? you will be satisfied, portions are big for the price, service is good, atmosphere is great, it takes me back to my land. This place is BYOB... with no extra charge... I am happy to have found this place.
Authentic Cuisine!
