Description: Welcome to Sabatinos a beautiful old school Italian restaurant with delcious food and great ambieance. You get bread including focaccia - a kind of pizza bread, then a salad and soup, then an entree - try the veal Parmesan, and a side of pasta. Many recommend the baked Alaska dessert. Sabatino"s is dimly lit with flowers on every table, this Italian-American restaurant has been the perfect date restaurant for about 25 years. Diners might have their steak or seafood entrees complemented by the serenade of strolling musicians in the main room or piano music in the bar area. Angelo Pagni, who owns the restaurant with his brother, Enzo, said Sabatino's is popular in the neighborhood for a lot of reasons, food and atmosphere and chief among them. Stop in today!

“Great surprise for italian foodies”

There is a big surprise at this famous Italian restaurant as they make a fabulous Steak Diane at your table and it is unforgettable. Also a lot of people do not know they make deserts at the table Bananas Foster, Cherries Jubilee and peach melba. The Italian food is superb but try the Steak Diane. Service and the amount of food is unbelievable.

“Great Italian in a Classic Setting”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

Excellent food, excellent service (our waitress was cocky, funny, and very attentive) all served up in a kitschy, old-school Italian restaurant setting. White italian Christmas lights on the walls, dark overhead lights, and a boisterous overall feeling from the patrons made our meal a pleasure. Be sure to check out the bar, which was large and had several people eating their appetizers and meals on it. The gnochi was excellent, as was the

Good Italian eats in a great old setting. Free valet parking, but you can park-it-yourself on Irving Park Road or one of the side-streets bordering the restaurant. Go...you'll enjoy yourself!

“If You Leave Hungry, Its Your Own Fault”
Reviewed March 18, 2013

Last dined here while living in Chicago and working nearby approximately 1973. Excellent food and excellent value then and remains the same 40 years later. Having married into an Italian family and having had my share and then some of great authentic home cooked Italian meals, dining out at an Italian restaurant is always a disappointment when compared to homemade meals. Not the case with Sabatino's.The ambience was just as I remember it. The service and congeniality of the entire staff made you feel like family. The portions and quality/quantity of every course were outstanding. If the bread basket was almost empty, another one was brought out without even asking for it. The staff was most attentive. The night we dined there, there were musicians who went from table to table, playing music, adding to the overall dining experience. When we all had our bellies full and had our leftovers packaged, the wait staff came over and asked what we would like for dessert. We all gracefully declined, but they brought out a large plate of fresh fruit, gratis. Definitely not a disappointment. Great meal for a great value with great service. Guess thats why they have been in business for so many years.

“Don't walk out after walking in!”
Reviewed March 10, 2013

It is almost comical walking in here, it is so old school and almost feels like an old banquet space but once you get over the decor from the 70s it is actually quite charming with some very good old school Italian food. Worth a try
