Seriously, this place is worth going to some effort. We were lucky enough to only be a few block's walk, and we put our name in (they only seat complete parties) and headed outside for a nice chat. We had to wait about 35 minutes-which seems long sitting here reading it, but it was a relaxed Sunday morning and we literally had nothing better to do than work up an appetite and TRY to decide what to order. I was with my favorite friends, and when we were all indecisive, we decided to share a bunch of dishes. The BELT was probably the best. The apple brie crepe should be ordered as a kind of dessert for the table to share. It's better than Paris. The omlette with spinich and goat cheese is generous and rich. The breakfast burrito is perfect. The hostess was efficient and helpful-she kept letting us know that she knew we were waiting-and she was putting us in the front window table, but that she had to wait for the other people to leave the table and obviously she couldn't shoo them out the door despite the fact they had long ago finished their meal.
It was divine food. The guy next to us had a massive steak under his eggs benedict-and it was only like $12. Crazy good place. Cute ambience. Could be romantic or just friendly. We recommended it so strenuously our friends took a cab from michigan avenue hotel the next morning just to see what we all raved about. they were not disappointed!
Remember to tip well, they are incredible at service.
