“Wonderful dinner”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 9, 2013

This was the first time I had been to Café Ba Ba Reeba, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. Our waitress Lauren was great, she was super friendly and helpful in explaining how to order and making menu selections. We sampled the pintxos, four different tapas and three different desserts. Make sure to make a reservation to eat here or you may have to wait. I would come back again.

“Cafe Ba Ba Reeba”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 7, 2013

The only authentic tapas I've found in the Chicago area. If you concentrate on tapas for dinner, an order of 6 plates is sufficient for 2. They offer different types of paella, but I've never had it, since I'm used to all of these ingredients mixed together in Spain. A good wine list. Service is always good. Consistent since they opened.

“Wonderful!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 4, 2013

What an amazing tapas cafe! Our waiter Johnny was so friendly and helpful with making our menu selections. We sampled eight different menu items, and every one of them was delightful. We were wishing we weren't so full so that we could sample more delicious food.

“More for the atmosphere than the food.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 31, 2013 via mobile

Nice place to meet friends; good selection of drinks and tapas.
Tapas were average. Good flavors but nothing exciting. Emilios tapas on Ohio was much better for the food.

“Got Better (And It Was Already Very Good)”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 18, 2013

Returned for first time in a couple of years. Ba-ba-reba still has "it".

Started with the pinxtos sampler. Most of the six items were very pleasing. On to the octopus, fried peppers, patatas bravas, chicken empanadas. Octopus may have been the best we had on our Chicago adventure. The patatas were wonderfully fried and spiced. Empanada was as remembered; very good. And the padron peppers were flavorful and salty.

Add to this a half pitcher of fruity mango sangria and the usual very good crusty bread and a good time was had by both!

Better than we remembered from our last trip. Will be back again in the not too distant future.
