Description: Chicago's most romantic restaurant featuring fondue dining and fine wines. We are open 7 days a week. Fondue dining - cooking at the table - is a great way to give your family and friends a unique experience. Geja's features an extensive, moderately priced wine list, with many selections by-the-glass. Reservations are recommended. We would be delighted to help plan your private party. We accept all major credit cards. Because of safety concerns we do not allow children under the age of 10. Dress code: Many of our guests are celebrating a special occasion and we ask that your attire reflect that. The dress code at Geja's Cafe is business casual. For men, a collared shirt and dress pants are appropriate. For women, business wear or dressy casual attire would be most comfortable. More specifically, we do not allow beachwear (flip flops, tank tops, etc.), athletic wear (jerseys, sweatpants, gym shoes, etc.), ripped or torn clothing and hats of any kind.

Fondue isn't an every-night meal, and Geja's really makes it special. The ambiance is cozy and romantic, and the wait staff are absolutely wonderful--you feel like an honored and appreciated friend rather than a customer. New Year's Eve seating included lovely guitar music and a somewhat too-loud announcer counting down to midnight, then a wild confetti-throwing scramble, with several tables of regular NYE visitors (large families of adults) chasing mom/grandma, uncle, brother, etc. to sprinkle with more confetti. Everyone was in on the fun and laughter. Lots of cheerful New Year's wishes, lots of champagne and great fondue. Our friends and we really enjoyed it and will go again.

The ambiance is romantically rustic. The live Flamenco guitar is the icing on the cake. They have some cozy booths for 4 and for 2 but we didn't get either of those. To my disappointment, we got a table for two in a cramped cluster of tables at the end of the restaurant. We ordered a tofu and fresh vegetable platter along with a bottle of French Saint Emillion wine (expensive). The chocolate fondue with fruits and marshmallows was out of the world!!

The restaurateur has paid a lot of attention in decorating this place. The menu cover is designed by a well-known artist (owner's college time room mate). There is a poster outside the women's washroom that gives detailed history about the restaurant (interesting tidbits).

The food was great, the music amazing and we had a great time. We are definitely going back here!

Romantic and beautiful and lovely. There are often groupons which make this a more affordable experience. Set in a historic north side area, it's a walk down cozy basement dining experience.

We received a Groupon for this restaurant and I was a bit underwhelmed. The ambiance was nice, but I wasn't a fan of the menu. Unlike a Melting Pot where you can choose the cheese and dessert course, it was a preset menu. The food was good, but I wish I could have selected the courses. Also, the tables were very small, so it was hard to eat and cook everything.
