“Best for beverages, Apps & Salads....don't order entrees!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2011

Three of us recently dined at Tarantino's. the ambiance and friendliness of the staff greets you. The music, however in the background doesn't fit. Playing some Italian greats might be suggested versus earlym 70's. Selena behind the bar is a star with her smile and suggestions for beverages and wine selections. Our Apps...Oysters, Beet Salad, Calamari steak....yum. We then ordered entrees where I think the Executive Chef was on a smoke break. The Lamb Chops, which you can't screw up...sucked. My lobster ravioli....bland. The consensus...entrees-no flavor. After a wonderful start....execution of entrees a miss. Disapointing. If you're looking to start a fun evening, do visit. But stick with Beverages, Apps and possibly salad. After being in business as long as Tarantino's....they should accept this feedback and hope to do better. I recommend this with caution.

“Great food in an interesting setting”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 7, 2010

Tarantino's is a great restaurant in Lincoln Park. While small (about 70 seats), it is beautiful with exposed brick walls and interesting decor. We all loved our entrees -- ravioli, fucilli, and tilapia. The only negative was that they were extremely quick to clear the table. My husband was still eating and they had cleared almost everything including bread plates. The total cost, without tip, including one glass of wine was $90.

“Consistent Neighborhood Place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 8, 2008

Always consistent Lincoln park Italian (don't know why it says the neighborhood is "calumet"). The seafood is always very good and recommneded as well. On weekends there are plenty of children (from about 5pm-6:30, the stroller set takes over the place, which is good or bad, depending on your situation), but by 7pm the place is an excellent date or family restaurant.
