We dined here on a recommendation by our motel. We had to be "admitted" my ringing a doorbell. The restaurant is decorated like an eastern European dining establishment, and pretty well done. The food is definitely eastern European in flavor. Prices are reasonable and servings are generous. I ordered the sampler plate for $14.95 and got sausage, a cabbage roll, potato pancake, four perogis, a side of sauerkraut, and a small portion of steamed vegetables. Oh, and two sides were included with my entree. (Did I say the servings are generous?). The service was prompt and friendly. We're really glad we tried Szalas Restaurant in Chicago. If we get back to Chicago, we'll have to eat here again.
