The Chicago deep dish sausage classic was really without any hesitation the best pizza I have ever eaten. Lots of cheese, fresh tomato sause and the crust tasted like pie dough. Malnati's was recommended to me by my son. This location was very near the Hilton on Michigan street. Has more than pizza but hey you're in Chicago.

Since you have to have deep dish pizza while in Chicago this is a great option. Went on a Friday night about 6:00pm. Waited about 15 minutes for a table. As we left though the line had grown significantly - it does get busy. They have you order your pizza while you are waiting so that you wait less time at your table - love that! We had the bruschetta. Perfectly toasted bread with just the right amount of oil, tomatoes, fresh basil and shaved parmesan! We had "The Lou" pizza which I would recommend if you are a fan of mushrooms and spinach - so tasty! After the bruschetta we were only able to eat half of the small pizza we ordered so we took the rest back to our hotel for the next day. As we walked to this location from our hotel we saw many people carrying pizza boxes from Lou's and another guest in our hotel said that he "has to have a Lou's pizza every time he's in town" - I concur!

Was craving great pizza all week and never made it out. Ran into Lou's for lunch for take out as was super crowded. Pizza and prices were fine, but didn't really satisfy.

This is by far the best deep dish in Chicago! It actually has toppings and is not all bread. Try the Malnatis special with the butter crust which is topped with tons of cheese and sausage. Yum. Their salad is incredible and also has tons of toppings instead of having tons of gloppy salad dressing on lettuce. Better than Pizza Uno or Pizza Duo. I still love Home Run Inn for thin crust pizza though because it was the family favorite we grew up with. You order your pizza first at the counter since it takes 1/2 hour to make and you can get wine/beer and wait outside until your table is ready which I think is a great idea. It will be packed though because everyone else likes it too!

Pizza was way better than Giordano's--a better balance of sauce to crust to cheese and fillings. Very tasty. As other folks have said--you put in your pizza order when you first get there and it comes to your table with minimal waiting. Service was a little slow and spotty for a hopping Saturday night--no refills on drinks--had to ask twice for a box and the check. It would be better if the amazing salads came in single serving portions.
