Great Chicago pizza. Served hot and loaded with cheese and meat. We had a party of 10 and ate upstairs. A little noisy, but expected at a pizza restaurant. Had a long wait, over an hour, but they let us order pizza ahead so it was almost ready when we were seated. Staff very courteous and helpful. We also ate at pianos bit liked malnati better.

My fiance and I were in Chicago to see the Book of Mormon. We wanted to try some authentic Chicago style pizza so we chose Lou's since it was close to our hotel and in walking distance to the Theatre. We got there about 5 and didn't have to wait for a table at all, they weren't very busy for a Thursday night yet. We went early cause we heard it took a while for the pizza to bake. We ordered and received our pizza within 30 minutes. I had a side salad to start with homemade ranch dressing and it was just sub-par. It may be homemade dressing, but it wasn't very flavorful.

The pizza, however, was AMAZING. We got the Classic Chicago and added mushrooms and fresh garlic. They did not skimp on the garlic at all, which made it even more awesome. Its a dollar and change to add toppings, which seems like a little much, since mushrooms and garlic are both cheap, but whatever. The pizza was melt in your mouth delicious and I would go back to Chicago just for that!

By the time we left, around 6, the majority of the tables were full. Glad we planned ahead :-)

We were at this restaurant on a Saturday night during prime dinner time. We put in our name and pre-ordered a pepperoni pizza. We were told it would be a 50 minute wait but were called after only 30 minutes or so. The fact that we were able to pre-order helped quite a bit. Once we got to our table and got our drinks it was only a short wait for our pizza. And what a pizza!!! We typically like thin crust pizza, but being in Chicago, you really should try their deep dish. It was really good. We especially liked the crust. It was one of the best deep dish pizzas we've ever had. Pepperoni was a good choice. The menu provides guidance on the size of pizza to order. It could be really easy to over-order. My wife and I ordered a small and it was just the right size; we each had 2 pieces. Our hotel provided a voucher for a free appetizer or dessert and we chose the Warm Chocolate Chip Cookie and are we ever glad we did. It was AWESOME!!! All in all, this iconic Chicago pizzeria is a must see when you're in the Windy City. We will be back for sure.

We had one day in Chicago, and our new Navy Seaman wanted real Chicago pizza before shipping out. We trusted the reviews and went here after milennium park, which i also recomend. The place was deserving of the reviews - salads were fresh and crisp, the pizza was also fresh tasting - no greasy crust. Good attentive service. All four including our mew sailor were impressed. This place rates alongside our other favorite big-city pizza place, Lombardis in Little italy. Well done Chicago
